This is no way an attack on any Thais ability to speak English.....My Thai is shamefully poor, but some conversations i have with Thai people always cracks me up in a cute/funny way.

I came home tonight after having a serious debate with Joy about the inns and outs of her latest English masters degree assignment....I think i was as much use to her as a kick in the bollocks ( It was a hard one ) So I came home, had a few relaxing Jack's and watched some Only Fools And Horses....Grandad ...

Bangkok’s CentralWorld, reopens today (28 September 2010) following a THB2,800 million (HK$560 million) reconstruction and renovation.

The giant 550,000 sqm CentralWorld complex reopens with 80% of its retail space open for business, with the remainder expected to be completed in December and connecting Zen Department Store re-opening in August 2011.

Yesterday as i was about to settle down with a beer to watch the Holland game i lost the signal for Ch 3.
Called my condo office who blabbed on about this, that and the other for 30 mins and they said something along the lines of FIFA licensing does not allow the condo to show World Cup games all of a sudden as they have their own in-house cable (which only offers the basic Thai tv stations)
They suggested i go buy a 'normal' tv cable to connect my tv to the wall socket.....never heard ...

Big game this weekend.......Anyone got any good ideas or plans for watching it?
Im going to start off with some Mexican food errrrrr just to put me in the mood and take it from there. I know a few places doing free half time food/happy hours etc and my money is 3-1 England for some strange reason.

I'm supposed to be heading down to Hua Hin today and was planning on going by minibus from Victory monument. I see on TV a lot of areas around Bkk are in a mess.
Anyone know what it's like around VM area and if the traffic is moving out of the city?

Just a quick update on this Saturdays Europe v ROW pool challenge.The game will take place at The Sportsman bar www.bangkokpoolbar.com (next to the Dubliner) this Saturday.The plan is to meet up at 3pm to start the comp around 4, although tables are available free for practice from noon onwards, happy hour beer is 75 baht also.Not so many signed up from TF so far but we do have around 16 players and anyone else is welcome to join.
