Well it’s been really nice weather here these last couple of days, so I went out to take a few photos. Hope you enjoy them…This was actually taken near the wet market not far from my office last week. There is a Thai restaurant called Tuk-Tuk Thai just down the street. It’s not bad, and not very expensive, so we go there from time to time for lunch.   This has been the view out of my window for far too long….    Reminds me of the UK…    ...

It absolutely bucketed down here in Hong Kong on Saturday, and the weather bureau issued a "black cloud" warning...this is apparently an official weather warning level that basically tells employers to notify their staff not to come to work...or at least ours did?so Saturday ended up being a day off...great! Well it?s been a while since my last journal, so I think it?s high time I made an entry! Grezzzy and I went to Australia in April for the annual trip to see my mum and my kids and have a bit of a holiday. I am looking forward to having a holiday break with Grezzzy some time when it can be just the two of us, but that will have to be a different time?

I wasn't going to do another journal today, but on reading Cow-ard by farangfarang I was reminded of this story.

Some years ago, when I was working for a TV production company in Brisbane, we were commissioned to make a series of promotional documentaries for the Queensland Department of Education.

These would focus on some of the degree courses on offer. The one I particulary remember was about the veterinary sciences.

I came here nearly five months ago to do a two month job...

I design and build the technical infra-structure and systems for television stations.

Now, when I say it was a two month job, in fact I expected it to be longer, partially because in India everything takes much longer than it should, and partially because I knew that what the client wanted could not be built in that time frame.... and so did the systems integration company I am contracted to for the project. ...

Well Dave just submitted a journal about Australia Day so I thought I should also mention that the 26th of January is the Indian National Day too...

Here I am in Delhi, and as I commented in Daves journal, I don't have any decent beer with which to celebrate Australia Day, so I guess later on, my colleague Steve and I will have a drink to celebrate BOTH days - but it will be Kingfisher...

Steve is a Brit, but he lived in Melbourne for 6 years - I can't blame him ...
