I did put some money last week on the final being between Holland and Germany...and everyone I told this tought I'm must have drowned my last brain cells in some Absynthe...with them being in the group of death and all. Well, I might just have the last laugh after all if they continnue in that style... 8-)))

It was a great game! And about the 'offside situation' of the first goal: officially it wasn't offside, because one Italian player was lying in the field just behind the goalline... You can't withdraw yourself from the game like that. It was offside!

@Simon - first decent game ? Most of the matches were pretty much above average. Portugal, Germany and Holland were performing very well. Mmmhh, Spain ? Dont know, but I hope this time they will be able to compete on a higher level as in the last decades. I would not put my money on Spain.

Italy looked very stylish in their white Valentino look training suits.But their performance was somehow embarassing. The only bad thing on Holland was the light blue colour of the football socks which did not go very well with the orange jerseys..but their culture of playing football was outstanding.

Best match so far. Chapeau bas !
