Finally found a replacement for my '56 i sold a few months back.Got this one for cheap.Limp mode is usually very easy to fix,and better than paying 20g waiting for limp mode to hit. kijiji link

maybe you may , yeas limp mode or fail-safe mode if you wanna call it that. its when a censor goes bad in the v12,and it runs on 6 cylinders so the car can still be driven to the shop.the engine is basically 2 m30's side by side with separate computer,and dme's this one supposedly has a bad throttle position censor,but most likely its the maf
