Changes in ThailandFriends 3rd Annual Charity Event
Dear allI am writing to inform you of some changes in the 3rd annual charity event. Instead of visiting Baan Nontapum (Home for Children with Disabilities; http://www.nontapum.com/en/index.htm) on December 27th as planned, Aom and I decided to change the plan. Details are as follows:1) December 27th, 09: We will take 30 children with multiple disabilities and 10 carers out to see the sunflower field in Lop Buri province, which takes about 1.5 hours from Bangkok. The reason why we would like to do this; The painting above was nicely and beautifully created by Mr Chatchawaan Am-pai. Due to his disabilities, he has to use his mouth to carry a paintbrush and paint this. Aom and I asked him whether he had seen the sunflower field before. He said "never". He painted this using his own imagination, with hope that, one day, he would be able to visit the real place and feel the real field. It is not only Mr Chatchawaan Am-pai, who does not have a chance to visit any places out there like we do, there are still loads of children with multiple disabilities who have never been to any other places in their lives due to their multiple handicaps. Aom and I are just thiking, if there is anything we can do to fulfil their dreams, we will definitely do it, wont you? 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="425" height="344">
