The Marriott on Sukhumvit soi 2. You must book in advance. It's around 1,500 baht if I remember correctly, but they do a really good job.

The Dubliner Suk road between 22-24. Was 1000b when i went, live music, good atmosphere and MASSIVE portions of everything you would expect in a Christmas Dinner.

only drawback is having a prick of an owner and manager ... although apparently the manager has moved onto bigger and better things !!!

but as stevie says the dinner was top notch !!!

Actually, I should ask more about your friend. What country is he from (I assume it's a guy), is he looking for traditional Christmas atmosphere, coming with family, what is a traditional xmas atmosphere for him, etc.?

Dubliner is great on one end of the spectrum, while Marriott is great on the other end.

For contact info on these places, Google is your friend.

I've had 8 Christmas dinners in BKK and they've all been disappointing - except Black Swan.

    I'll be back this year.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. The booking has been made at the Marriott @ 2900 THB per head + 1200THB for all the wine you can drink. If the food and service of the Marriott is as good as the Southport one it will be great.

3 grand is pretty steep, but the food is excellent. Food and service at the Marriott is beyond exceptional, but obviously...you pay for what you get.

Enjoy...it will be a wonderful experience.
