    Not sure what you're asking for, but yes I've done it. Rented a pickup truck for 4-5 days...I think it was around 1,000 baht a day but I am not sure.

    1000 baht a day but deposit about 10k...so we never rent a car in bkk. good luck & good time with your dad ja

    I always rent from Avis, cos they have good cars and they are very professional. I just rented a Vios for 4 days for my trip to Kanchanaburi. Picked up from the airport and returned to their town office at Wireless Road.

    Total costs including tax and insurance was less than THB1,000 per day. Deposit of THB20,000 which can be secured against credit card. Everything was good without hassles. Full fuel tank out and in. GPS can be rented if you are not sure of the routes.

    Just rent a taxi with driver. If you buy gas it can cost about bt1500 a day, depending on how you negotiate.

    I'm just curious, as I think others are, as to what dad found that you want to get him out of Bangkok ASAP....lolol. The bus is only bt117 to Pattaya. That's a nice friendly town out of Bangkok.
