@P'Nicky - To float it near your house is safer than the one from far way falls onto you roof haha.

I went to ceremony at New year 2011 at one temple which i organized the meditation,Thre are like almost 1,000 peoples at that night we did like this as well and it's fires at the near by farm.These are very nice Northern Tradition of Thailand ,but we have to be careful as well.

I did Loy kratong in november 2010 in Thailand for the first time...but i didn't see as many float as in your video. Really nice, i like it.
