My name is Carsten. Im 31 years old and was born in Denmark. When I was 17 years old, I went to Thailand as an AFS student, and have, more or less, been on the road ever since. I have been working / living in the States, Thailand, Denmark and England and traveled many other countries over the last 13 years. I have ,however, never lost interest in Thailand and it is still my country of choice. Traveling the world has its good and, I shamefully admit, its bad sides. The good thing is that you learn about other cultures and languages, but the down side to it is that you loose your roots, leaving you feeling like you are never really home. I was born in Europe but feel more alive and well in Asia....more explaination than reason...sigh...
