first time i realized i'd never grow up: age 19. i told a fellow engineering student my major. he said materials engineering was a good field. i hated that.

first time i chose my school according to ratio of females to males: junior year of undergrad, switched from engineering program (NC state) to fine art (UNC-chapel hill).

first stalker: creepy desperate woman who called into my college radio show and frequently sent gifts. fortunately she never showed up in person, but i got tired of 'play misty for me' jokes.
