don't know the numbers offhand but they've done quite well selling once jobs realized that they'd blown their chance at major market share and embraced the fact that they are a 'boutique' computer.

let's say every coca needs a pepsi
ah but it's much more titillating to propose a semi-retarded conspiracy theory like coke is keeping pepsi in business to avoid being caught in anti-trust suits :rol:

All I know about computers is Mac has few problems and near no virus threats I've ever heard of. And service although expensive is good. My other friends with good old cheap Del computers complain of malfuctions and foreign countries handling service. My current Mac is 9 years old and works fine no problems ever. I guess you get what you pay for.

you could get the near no virus threats by installing LINUX or some other flavor of unix on your computer. it's a unix thing.

dell computers ain't that cheap---a laptop with similar features to a macbook pro costs about the same as a macbook pro. thing is, a lot of the features on a macbook pro such as 'firewire 800' ports--are features you don't need if you're not doing video, or at least using fast external hard drives.
