This is gonna be totally random. I have way too many things in my head and I don't even know where to start or how to organize them into one story. Be warned that this journal might not make any sense at all.
I went to see "Inception" last Wednesday. I think the movie is so good that I am going to see it again sometimes next week. My colleague and I got really bad seats, second row from the front, yet it didn't spoil the movie at all. As much as I got the whole idea of the movie, I think I'd
It's been a while since I last posted a journal. Life has been busy but it's been treating me well. I feel like there are so many things to write but I don't really have the time to sit down and write them all.
Funny how life has turned itself around after I left my previous job. I'm much happier with my job, my relationship with my family and my significant other; and most importantly, I'm much happier with myself.
I am trying to set my new routine, going to gym a few times a week, going for
".... Others seemed to go with the flow—keeping in mind that editors in Berlin, London and New York have strong say in their stories and if Iraq taught me anything about journalists and journalism it was that distant editors set the tone for most publications. After the acceptable white lines of a narrative are painted, few people stray from the path.
Humans see what we expect to see, and there is no doubt that many people expected to see an Asian government using a sickening amount of fo
Just a quick note before going to bed.
I was listenting to an audiobook "Never Give Up" by Donald Trump and it was really interesting. One thing I took out from today is "Be bigger than your problem."
As much of an a**hole he may seem, listening to the audiobook today, I totally understand why he's so successful. It is because he never gives up!
Have a great night sleep.
It was a Friday morning that everyone was rushing to work. The bus I normally take is probably the most crowded bus in BKK during rush hours both a.m. and p.m. It was crowded but everyone was trying to keep to their space and not being a burden to the person next to them, breathing into one another's neck.
After the bus came to the first stop after the express way ride, the tuna-can-crowded bus halted for at least one third of the passengers to get off. That was when the ***** emerged. Those w
A personal memoir of a reporter of what happened on May 19 and who burned CTW. It was written in Thai though.

This is way long overdue. My boyfriend and I celebrated our 4th anniversary together a little over a month ago. I wanted it to be special, so I booked us a table at Le Normandie, Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Normally, I wouldn't spend that much for a meal, but it was the right decision going there.
I booked the table two weeks in advance and asked for a table with river view. Although most of the tables can see river view, we were seated at the far end, more quiet corner.

I had extreme mixed feelings about today. It was an extremely great day and a depressing day in one. I left the house early this morning to help with the Bangkok Cleaning Day. A few friends and I walked around picking up garbage and removing the stickers on Ratchadamri, Chidlom and Siam.
It was sad to see the damage done to Bangkok. Yet, it was amazing to see people who do not know each other, but they were helping each other out in cleaning the city that they love. The evidence of ruins were
Super long but probably the best note I've read about this **** that's going on in Thailand so far! Source from facebook, again.
Don't Blame Dan Rivers

I have been composing a long, day by day account of the "troubles" of the last three days, which I have not yet posted. The reason is that I've been getting a lot of mail asking me to explain "the truth" to people overseas. A lot of people here are astonished and appalled at the level of irresponsibility and inaccuracy sho
Before I say goodnight, this song came to mind. For Bangkok and CTW, my hometown, which is now burned almost to the ground, and the iconic department store, I used to go there often when it was still World Trade Center, and then walked through there everyday for 3 yrs when it was Central World.
Sourced from Facebook. I have deleted her name for privacy and do not post the direct link to her page. Truly well-structured and well-organized letter with tons of addendum! I hope this don't get deleted or I won't be yellow carded. :-P
Dear Sirs/Madams,
Recently, CNN Thailand Correspondents Dan Rivers and Sarah Snider have made me seriously reconsider your agency as a source for reliable and accurate unbiased news. As of this writing, over thousands of CNN’s viewers have already begun to q
It's been forever since I last posted a photo journal on here. I disappeared to spend some quality weeks with my sweetheart, but I am not going into details on that now. What I am going to post today is trip to Orlando, FL, for the company's boot camp. I left my bf to face the chaos in BKK alone, while I had fun in the US of A!
I didn't take that many photos, but here are some that I got!
Early moring of April 23, I rushed to the airport to board the chubby looking plane, like the ones in Airp
It's been extremely hectic the past two weeks. It's been exactly two weeks since I flew out from BKK.
I was quiet nervous two weeks ago, how I would cope with 11 hrs difference, plus being in company's boot camp. I was super busy getting everything ready for the trip and then took off at 6:50 am.
After the total off 22 hrs flight and 5 hrs transit, I arrived in Orlando. The first two days were all about shopping and Disney World, but the following 5 working days were the other extreme.
We sta
I was told by a friend that there are some medicines that help cure jet lag.But she doesn't remember the name.
I am traveling to a destination with 12 hrs difference and then straight to a training. Wondering if anyone can help.
Thanks a lot!
Anyone knows how to contact British Airway apart from the normal numbers? I've been putting on hold for almost an hour now.
How to get in/out the UK at the moment? Any advise???
I've never thought I'd say this, but I doubt I wanna carry on calling this place my home. Thailand is no longer the place it once was. After seeing the country during the past few weeks, talking to few friends, I start losing faith in this country. I've always thought that Thailand is on the verge of being a developed country. I thought we had what it took to step up to the international level. The past few weeks were an eye opener, that Thailand is not, in any way, ready to move up to be one of
Not much going on today but it's been quite a great day at home. I woke up super late and saw my aunts and grandmother gathered around dining table for lunch. Went to take a shower and then straight to the table, cleaning up all the left over! The house was just done renovated not too long ago. Unfortunately, we had shitty builders so a lot of stuff were not right. Because of their shitty job, we don't even bother asking them to correct all the defects we found. As a matter of fact, there's no s
I was thinking of a story to share here, and I couldn't think of any until this afternoon!
We have a big boss from the US, stationing in BKK office for a few weeks. He's been super busy and mainly just hangs out with the two Directors, who are also foreigners for the past week and a half. Today a colleague suggested that we should go out for lunch with him, instead of letting him eat sandwiches from Au Bon Pan for breakfast and lunch. So we took him to "Baan Glom Gig" not too far from the off
It's been a week since I last posted my journal. I just started a new job and having to wake up super early again is seriously killing me! It was a big shock for me the past Monday, seeing how many people from Thonburi side are traveling into Bangkok by BTS. It was like a march or a demonstration up the escalator to the BTS station. Although I got on the BTS at the first station, the train was already packed with so many people. I had to wait for the second train, and be the few first ones right
