Shopaholic!

I've been quite busy lately, trying to get my life back into the same routine. I shall start getting busy with work again this coming Monday, and I still cannot force myself to wake up early yet! The official paper came on Thursday, which is in a way too soon for me to get back to sleeping early and waking up early. >_<The good thing is that I really miss working and keeping busy. I hate waking up in the morning and don't have anything waiting for me. I'd rather spend 10 hrs a day, 5 days

CNY, V-Day, Our Day

According to the Lunar Calendar, today is the exactly 4 years since we first met, we as in my boyfriend and I. I would say it was destiny that we met, the most fortunate event to happen on a Chinese New Year, and "He" the best gift I've ever received. He is far from perfect, but he is the perfect boyfriend for me. Isn't it weird how you have always dreamed of your prince charming, and one day he just comes knock on your door? He's everything I look for in a guy. He's intelligent, funny, carin

7 colors in 1 Roses

I was watching TV last night and they talked about these amazing roses being displayed at the department store near my place. Having to run some errands there today, I decided to stop by to take a look with my own eyes. Most of them are on the verge of withering away, but some still look good. Unfortunately my camera phone didn't seem to focus at the right spot to make good photos. I hope you enjoy these bizarre yet amazing roses.  PS sorry... forgot to resize the photos!

My Day Today - 090210

I couldn't really sleep last night. Partly because of the weird sleeping hours I have adopted the past few months, and partly because I was worried that I wouldn't wake up in time. I received a call yesterday to go in for the second interview at this one company, I applied for. I was very positive about this interview, yet very anxious at the same time. The interview went well, the bosses were pretty cool, and we actually had a few laughs. During the last interview, I told them that I am an o

Upgrading My Look

Since I haven't got much to do during the past few months, I decided to try and look better. Losing weight doesn't seem to happen as fast as I want it to be, so I wanna try and look better in the meantime. Thanks to a lovely ex-colleague, who donated an eyeliner a few months back, I started learning how to put on eyeliner. That was the start of the mission "beautiful-girl-wannabe". I have been spending hours watching youtube videos on how to apply eyeliner, curl eye lashes, and using make-up bas

Dream

A quick note on a video that must have been talked about too many times already, Susan Boyle's first appearance on Britain's Got Talent. Every time I watch the video, I have tears running down my face. It is the joy of seeing someone's dream being realized. Amanda said towards the end that it was a privilege listening to Susan singing. I think it is such a privilege to see the biggest dream of her life being realized right then and there. Success for Susan Boyle to me is to stand right there in

A Few Things from Yesterday

This will be totally random. But I love it that when I get to read what I wrote from the past, it's amazing how it could remind me so much of what had happened, and feel like it was just not long ago. Been super lazy this week. As much as I have been trying to keep positive, at the back of mind there r skeptical and depressing thoughts that I try to get rid of. I am anxiously checking e-mail a few times a day for more news from that job. I guess it'll be next week until I hear back from them

Positive Week!

After eems like this week is a week of dining out and catching up with friends for me. My girlies plan a dinner together this coming Friday a few weeks back. It is a perfect time because it is close to one girl's birthday, another girl who has been studying in Japan is coming home for a visit, another girl just got back from her one month trip to South America, and another girl was being proposed! Seems like it's gonna be a long, non-stop chatting evening for all of us! Then last week a friend f

Babbling on in Feb

Another month has passed, and I feel like I haven't done anything worthwhile. Life has been full of uncertainly and surprises for me. I am still looking at 2010 with anything but confidence. As great as things has turned out for me, since I arrived back in BKK, I wish I finally come to a conclusion and direction, I should be pursuing. I cannot even tell, what's gonna happen with my life in the next two weeks, and I find that really frustrating! With all the unknown around me, I manage to stay

My Recent Surprise!

Life is full of surprises, they said. I've never really believed that up until recently. As I have written previously how life has brought so many unexpected things to me during the past two months, life brought me yet another surprise just two days ago. As I was telling an ex-colleague about a decision not to pursue a job opportunity that she recommended me previously. Thn she asked, if I would be interested in applying for a vacancy at a company she's working for. She doesn't know anything

Colonization

They say the colonization era was over long time ago. For some reason, I don't seem to believe so. It seems to me colonization has transformed itself to comply with the modern world we live in. With human rights and political correctness invented into our society, the urge for power and superiority still exists , although in disguise, and extremely prominent in at least this part of the world, South East Asia. The modern day colonization is not so noticeable in the governmental or national le

I need to ...

I need to start making a lot of changes in my life. I am so ready to take up the freelance job and there seems to be a lot of things that I need to prepare. One thing that I need is to be more discipline! I've always wanted to be more discipline but it's just very difficult to do. I know I should create a schedule and follow it, but it's not as easy as it may sound (at least for me!)I am going to try again for a zillion times to set a schedule and follow it. There are so many things I wanna do.

Coincidences?

It's been quite a hectic week, although I gave up the translation earlier this week. It's been two weeks since I've been sleeping odd hours. No matter how hard I try to sleep earlier, I cannot seem to. I've been tossing and turning in bed for hours during the past two nights, even though I had only 4 - 5 hrs sleep, I don't seem to feel tired before 4 AM. >_< I have been thinking back about what has happened to me during the past 8 weeks. I am not sure, if some superior power has arranged

Another Long Journal

It's been a long time since I wrote down my thoughts. It's actually a part of my goals this year that I wanna get in touch with myself more. It's been more than half a month in the year and I haven't really written down anything. It's been a month and a half since I got back to Thailand. Although I am currently unemployed, I have been busy with so many things. After settling back in and looked for the most convenient place, I spent two weeks towards the end of December learning how to drive.

Historic mono-plane uncovered in Antarctica

06 Jan 10 (TravMedia.com): While looking for suitable shore-side landing spots for guests travelling onboard the expedition ship Orion, Mawson's Huts Foundation team member Mark Farrell has uncovered remnant metal piping from Douglas Mawson’s mono-plane, taken with Mawson almost a century ago on his 1911 Antarctic expedition. Built just eight years after the Wright brothers' first flight, this aircraft was the first produced by the Vickers factory in Britain, and the first taken to either pola

The World's Best Complaint Letter

Reoccuring Theme

I hope I am not spoiling it for those of you who haven't seen Avatar yet. Since I am out of job at the moment, I decided to go watch it on a weekday afternoon instead of fighting for a seat during the weekends, or evening. Although the show was at 2 pm. the cinema was full, that's how popular the movie is. What I am about to write might be controversial, let's see how much I'd get trash by typing this. As all of you know the story is about us from Earth going to Pandora for the gray rocks that w

My First Time

Yes... I did bleed a little! Before your imagination goes even wilder, I am talking about my first experience with electric toothbrush. My beloved beau gave it to me as an early x'mas present surprise. Took me a week before I started using it and now I am in love with the toothbrush! I made a terrible mess the first time, but after the 2 min professional clean, my teeth felt as clean as I just came back from the dentist!  Because of the price in Thailand, I wouldn't say it's a must have. But it

London Trip Part II

To continue from my last set of photos from London, here are the rest of the photos from London, please a few more of additional photos. I started my day heading to Tower of London. It was also the first time that I tried taking the overground train from where I stayed to Tower of London. I lost a lil bit of time looking for the closest station, but I walked a different way and made quite a detour before finding the station. When I reached the interchange station, I was aiming to take another

London Trip Part I

While I'm on vacation here in Hua Hin, I think I should upload the first half of my trip to London two weeks ago. Since BigKus requested that I should upload the pics with description, I'll follow her request this time. It might be kinda long, since there are quite a few photos from the trip. These photos are from the first 3 days of my trip in London. Unfortunately, most places do not allow any photo to be taken, so the photos are mainly of the roads and building exterior. As I have ranted in ma

Returning too soon >_<

I'm back to BKK much sooner than expected. Just soon as I started enjoying life in the UK, an appointment came up and I had to fly half way round the world back here, just to find out that the appointment has been postponed until further notice! So instead of celebrating my bf's b-day, which will arrive in the next couple of days, with him before coming back, I am here waiting for the news with unknown deadline. I'm jetlag and depressed. I wish I could just close my unpacked bag and fly back to t

Smell of Home

It was a sunny day today as well as a Tuesday. The day that the Asian store in town got a delivery of many fresh vegetable (as fresh as it can be) from the other side of the world. So my bf drove to town and to see if we could get any vegetable from Thailand. The one vegetable that we don't find often over here is holy basil leaves. But surprisingly there was one pack available in the store today. As I was picking the leaves to prepare for the cooking, the smell of the leaves reminded me so much
