Differences Between Love and Like

In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster But in front of the person you like , you get happy. In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring But in front of the person you like, winter is just a beautiful winter. If you look into the eyes of the one you love, you blush But if you look into the eyes of the one you like, you smile. In front of the person you love, you can' t say everything on your mind But in front of the person you like, you can. In front of the

One of the Greatest Birthdays of Mine

7th January We went to China Town in Milan first to show P? Nook where to get some fresh Thai vegetables and other stuffs but what we didn?t aware was that there was a traffic blocking on that day anyway we managed to get there without getting caught hehehe. Around 8:30 we?ve arrived in Legnano (nice city indeed) where the restaurant?s located. The impression the first time we entered into the ?IL Maragasc? was like ?WOW!?. Davide, Chef?s brother welcomed us beyond the word ?friendly? , the d

Last year ended with lots of joy (and loads of food LOL) likewise how this year began with... Back to responsible life... I was studying the stuff for getting driving licence (EU) and now can't help thinking about many things I've started last year and wondering will I accomplish some within this new y

What Do You Know About Xmas?

Christmas customs and traditions transmitted through mass culture have been adopted by Christians and non-Christians (me, for example hehe) so do we know something about the meaning of Christmas??? Here the brief story... The word Christmas is a contraction of Christ's Mass, derived from the Old English Cristes mæsse. It is often abbreviated Xmas, the X originates from the Greek letter Χ (chi) which has often historically been used as an abbreviation for Christ (Χριστός in Greek). So now you k

To Chef

I?d like to give a huge thank to Chef_Claudio who just sent me a very useful X-mas gift. The wheat bag?s arrived today before mid-day. I tried to heat it up and it does work besides I really do like that lavender scent; fresh, clean and sweet. Thank you again Claudio for your generosity. Buon Natale e tanti auguri di Anno Nuovo. Btw I?m off on mini holiday travelling to the very north of Italy. Have a nice weekend to you all!!!

Life's Little Ironies

Love is grand; divorce is a hundred grand. Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician. Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark. Professionals built the Titanic. Conscience is what hurts when everything else feels so good. Talk is cheap because supply exceeds demand. Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly and for the same reason. An optimist

Double Negatives Defined

A linguistics professor was lecturing to his class one day. "In English," he said, "A double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative." A voice from the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right."

Caesar's Letter to Cleopatra

After reading ahpuiahsan's Journal about making sentence out of number 1 to 10..... I decided this letter would be another fun for us. Please enjoy O U R F R I E N D F S H I P S T O R Y On his visit to Egypt to meet with Cleopatra, Caesar noticed that Egyptians were using pictures instead of words when writing. Back to Roma, one day he decided to send a letter to Cleopatra to let her know how much he cared for her. Wanting to be friendly he used a few pictures in his letter instead of words

Two Sides To A Story

Her side of the story: He was in an odd mood Sunday night. We planned to meet at a bar for a drink. I spent the afternoon shopping with the girls and I thought it might have been my fault because I was a bit later than I promised. I don't remember doing anything to make him upset, but could tell there was something wrong. The conversation was quite slow, so I thought we should go somewhere intimate so we could talk more privately. We went to this restaurant and he was still acting a bit funny

In Love With The Idea Of Being In Love?

Everyday, everywhere...people fall in love. But just how many of these relationships are self-sacrificing love, and not just relationships which are formed only for the intense feeling of falling in love? We've heard people saying the magical words "I love you" ...but more often that not, the truth is just --- I am IN love with you. There is a difference between being in love with someone and loving someone. If a person says he/she is in love with you, he/she means that he/she likes
