With the season of giving upon us, and seeing how TF is a international family (and all the better for it), if you had to buy a gift that represented your country...what would you buy ???????. Plus, it had to be less than ...3000 baht....
One gift.
For example for me, (Australia)
Boomerang, didgeridoo, Koala or Kangaroo stuffed doll
(not the ones made in china).
Slab of VB (local humour)..
What would you send ?????????
Whilst driving to my Thai lessons, I discovered Sassy World...here in Melbourne !!!!!!..As Sassy does "alterations", I decided not to go in...
But nice to know she is so close.....
BTW I got very wet taking this picture, Sassy..so if I get a cold it's your fault.....:-)
What would be cool would be if TF'ers posted their earliest picture. I always like to see how people change as they grow. I have to connect my scanner up, but will post my pic of when I was veeeeerrryyy young, then people can see that I was even cute then...:-)
Dunno, maybe a special folder just of TF baby pics...
Of course some of you dont have to go that far back :-(, but for some of us we have to convert from glass slides...but how many remember pinhole cameras ?????????
Maybe you have seen this. I like it, so I share.....
A baby hippopotamus that survived the tsunami waves on the Kenyan coast has formed a strong bond with a giant male century-old tortoise, in an animal facility in the port city of Mombassa.
After it was swept and lost its mother, the hippo was traumatized. It had to look for something to be a surrogate mother. Fortunately, it landed on the tortoise and established a strong bond. They swim, eat and sleep together," the ecologist added. "The hi
Yes, I know...world peace, an end to poverty and suffering etc are all noble thoughts but, sadly, it isnt gonna happen. Now, on a more materialistic plain, what do you really want for Christmas ?
Me ? I always like to recieve books...
Today it is raining very hard, but I need to empty my swimming pool that contains thousands of tadpoles, so in the rain I am trying to scoop the tadpoles into a net and give them a new home.....hope this gives me merit, as I think I will catch pneumonia............
Dear journal, as I check who is online and read the latest journal and forum entries, one thing always amazes me. The sheer beauty of some of the ladies that are part of TF. Yes, beauty is only skin deep, and in the eye of the beholder, but there are ladies on this website, who apart from showing kindness, intelligence and compassion, are absolutely stunning. Funny how most Thai ladies describe themselves as ugly if you compliment them. Being so old I can admire from a distance, but I imagine th
Its over...
Here I sit back in Aus. feeling so sick. Headaches and sore throat dont help the general feeling of wanting to be elsewhere.
Again had a great time in Thailand, but this time made so much better by meeting a few TF'ers. Sorry to those I wanted to meet but time would not allow, but to those who gave of their time, I thank you for your kindness.
As always, unanswered questions remain...
Where did all my money go ?
Am I really hansum man ?
How can she eat all that food everyday,
