Funny letter

Long story but sure worth a readA New Orleans lawyer sought an FHA loan for a client who lost his house in Hurricane Katrina and wanted to rebuild. He was told the loan would be granted if he could prove satisfactory title to the parcel of property being offered as collateral. The title to the property dated back to 1803, which took the Lawyer three months to track down. After sending the information to the FHA, he received the following reply: (Actual letter): "Upon review of

A ventriloquist in Australia

A ventriloquist visiting Australia walks into a small outback village and sees a local sitting on his porch patting his dog. He figures he'll have a little fun, so he says to the Aussie "Hey, mind if I talk to your dog? " Villager: "The dog doesn't talk, stupid " Ventriloquist: "Hello dog, how's it going mate? " Dog: "Doin' all right. " Aussi: (look of extreme shock) Ventriloquist: "Is this villager your owner? " (pointing at the villager) Dog: "Yep" Ventriloquis

mobiles on planes

Emirates, Air France, Ryan Air, BMI and Qantas are to introduce a new system next year that will allow passnegers to use mobile phones during the flight.Personally i find the thought a nightmare. Being sat next to someone endlessly talking out loud or receiving sms's.or being woken up by annoying ring tones. What do you think

A very sad day

I have lived and worked in Albania, Europe’s poorest country, for 3 1/2 years as my company's market manager.Today i have to do one the hardest things and tell the team in 6 weeks they will all finish. The decision is not a reflection of their work level more a reflection of the European market.8 of them have been with me from the start and are great people to work with, it will be emotional.I will do all i can to support them in the hunt for new jobs but soon i will turn my back on them and walk

heathrow airport

For anyone flying from Heathrow airport dont forget the hand baggage restrictions. No perfumes / aftershaves, deodrant stick, lighters, cosmetics (damn), drinks etc etc.Problem is we forget and when you check in there are no reminders, the security WILL confiscate EVERYTHING and by the look of the bin they had a very expensive collection.I'm sure the same applies to many other UK and US airports.

WARNING - All men

Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties & local pubs to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink from any woman. Many females use a date rape drug on the market called "Beer." The drug is found in liquid form and is available anywhere. It comes in bottles, cans, or from taps and in large "kegs". Beer is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and sleep with them. A woman needs only to get a guy to consume a f

Another school shooting in the US

News still coming in, the number of dead not yet confirmed, latest figure is 6. A man walked in to a single room school in rural Pennsylvania and opened fire. The school was attended by the Armish community children, who i have never heard of but appear to be a very peaceful community with strong belief on family ethics.I can only imagine the horror and sorrow for a parent to realise their child will never return from what should be a perfectly safe place. So sad and such a waste of young innocent

Austrian Airlines - Thx for rewarding my loyalty

Dont big companies just suck these days. The concept of customer care, wanting customer loyalty seems to have been replaced by "Take it or leave it", because another customer will soon fill your place and we dont need you. I mistakenly booked my flight to Bkk one day later than i wanted, there is a knock on effect from this. This is the 5th Bkk flight, all with Austrian and all had been on a thursday night, so they can see a trend. When I saw my stupid mistake (Frday flight) i contacted them
