My so-called boyfriend [who is already 32 years old] is addicted to this... He can't even sit down at the dining table to have a decent dinner. What a loser...

If men were like buses... how do you catch one?

If men were like buses, how do you catch one? A more important questions is - how do you catch the RIGHT one? Simple: You take only the bus that's headed the RIGHT direction.  If you've been together for some time now, ask him - does he want to get married? If you want to be married and your dreamboat isn't interested, don't waste your time. Remember, women fall in love and get married. So if a guy says he's not looking for anything serious, take his words seriously. If he's not

Still no MAC Kitty Make-up Bag for me...

Oh well... I was too late. The only bag they have at Siam Discovery was the small one, and it wasn't really useful for 1000 baht. I prefer to get the slightly bigger one for 1,600 baht but it was already out of stock; Maybe it wasn't meant to be. lol. Should this be counted as a way of cutting back for the recession? I didn't get a whole lot like SweetieBabie Managed to get more stuff at Siam Paragon last Saturday...

In search of MAC Hello Kitty

Last night I went to Central Chidlom and found very little of the Hello Kitty Collection at the MAC counter. I was expecting more like the photos online complete with make-up bags, brushes and other accessories. A lot of the products are out of stock :-( I guess there's a lot of Thai females also crazy about Kitty. I managed to get just 2 items...

Hello Last Journal for 2008

Some random thoughts chasing each other in my head: 1. It's the end of 2008. When I look back, all I remember are the shopping sprees and hospital visits with the boyfriend. Dang! What did I do? 2. Some people are just like that. People. 3. Hi, work. Why are you still here? Will the deadlines ever end? Or better yet, will you transform to something nicer? Something more fun? 4. My dear bank account, forgive me for not fulfilling my promise to save the amount I've set this year. Hop

Vote 4,321 for Free Dinner Scam

Darn. I know for a fact I voted 4,321. But SHE DECIDED to give it to a guy. She probably figured there's nothing to get out of treating a girl she doesn't know. hahahaha. Funny. And if she was true to her word, i would have politely turned down the dinner at Fuji anyway. It was just fun to "test" how it goes.

Goodbye Langsuan... hello Petchburi?!

I hate that I have to move. My office moved last weekend to a building in Petchburi around the RCA area... so I decided to move as well since I hate sitting in a taxi for hours because of the traffic. I like to live walking-distance to where I work. I really love my place now - I hate that I have to leave... it's sooooo near Central Chidlom, Lumpini Park... it's close to 3 BTS stations! [sala daeng, ratchadamri and chidlom] Oh well. I hate packing. and unpacking. ughhh... it will be terrib

Too old for piano lessons?

I know it's best to start young. Too bad my mom didn't send me to a music school. I want to do something different... instead of just all work and shopping and movies and EATING. I haven't really inquired for it... maybe I will this weekend. Hopefully, I'd be able to find a music school with instructions in english. And hopefully it will be in a shopping mall. lol. I wouldn't want to give up on my other "interests". Chances are, i'd be terrible at it. hahahaha. But i think i'd still give it a

Long Table

I heard about a new hip pub/restaurant called the Long Table. It actually has a really long table in the dining area where customers sit right next to each other. Although there are some few separate tables and chairs/beds, majority of the people actually dine at the long table. I think I'd be trying it this Friday just for the heck of it... I'm not really keen on having dinner with strangers sitting right next to me and overhearing other people's conversations. Maybe the bar and terrace area w

Entertaining Journals

I can't really decide which one entertained me the most... but it's a toss between 3... Afook's "menstruation" journal stylish_kitty's "i'm rich, don't mess with me old farangs" journal Nave's "thai soap, i love the actor playing rapist" journal. The numerous comments were truly entertaining.

Photos for Work Permit?!

Today, I got a call from our admin staff that they need to take pictures of me while "working", they said it's a new requirement to renew my work permit. I said sure of course... but I'm still wondering what good will it do take pictures of me at work?! I've had my work permit since I moved here in 2004. My company takes care of everything and I normally just sign papers and send ID photos. I find it really funny now that the government would like to keep pictures of the foreigners working her

Once A Week Deodorant?!

Try the Once A Week Weekly Deodorant (Isn't that redundant?) My friend stumbled upon this gem of an ad in Watson's Malaysia. So what are the benefits of this deodorant? 1. You wipe one time, it lasts for one week! 2. Safer than any MOUTHWASH (WTF?!?!) 3. Not chemical but pure profound biological (WTF?!?!?!) So my question is... would you use the Once A Week Weekly Deodorant? Smells like a good idea!? lol

Fun but very tiring...

I just got home from Silom... thank god my apartment is just walking distance - right in front of Lumpini Park so my friends and I just walked.I didn't expect to see that much people. But it's alright - it's definitely something I won't do again. After 3 years here in Bangkok, it's my first time to actually experience Songkran. Face with no make-up... but a lot of powder. lol. People... people.... wet everywhere.

Winston April 5, 2008

He was still ok last Thursday - running around and playing. And then last Friday morning he was almost lifeless. My boyfriend took him to the vet near his place immediately - but it seems like the vet at Sukhumvit 101 was not thorough enough in treating Winston. I went home early and did not realy finish work, head straight home and then took him to Bangna Pet Hospital. They did all sorts of tests and found him positive with CoronaVirus. We searched the internet about it and found this : Th

Moonboots and the Jedi Master?

From Winston's thoughts... Why does Mommy like buying me stuff that will make me look silly? Cool new shoes... but seems like I can't really walk or even stand when i wear them. Daddy, don't hold me too tight please... I can't breathe. I'm too small for the clothes!!! Do I look cute with the hood? It's supposed to be hip hop... not a Jedi!

Wishful Thinking

Can't even go to Paragon or wherever else without fighting. I must be delusional to think that my boyfriend and I will go anywhere for Songkran. I should just plan my own. Maybe fly to Manila. Again.

And then another?

Just the other day, we got a dog and posted pictures of it here. Not sure if I can handle one more... or if my boyfriend can handle another one. This morning we were talking about getting another Chihuahua. He's been reading Wikipedia again... "Chihuahuas focus their devotion on one person, becoming overly jealous of that person's human relationships. This can be mitigated through socialization. Chihuahuas also tend to have a "clannish" nature, often preferring the companionship of other Ch

And now we have a dog...

For several weeks now, we've actually been thinking of getting a Siamese Cat... But yesterday, we ended up buying a dog in one of the pet shops at the back of Seri Center. It's so cute. It's a chihuahua... it's like having a puppy forever since it will never really grow big. He doesn't have a name yet. Last night, we called him Steve. This morning, we called him to Winston. Any suggestions?
