Well, its that time of year again. I shall be going along to the Thai Buddhapadipa Temple in Wimbledon on Sunday, to enjoy the celebrations, the excellent food, and of course the "Miss Songkran" contest. Its looking like we might even have good weather this time, as last year I got soaked. For anyone interested in going along, below is an itinerary of what will take place.

Please can anyone recommend, or point me in the direction of any decent bike companies doing multi-day tours from BKK?
I am looking for 5, 6, or 7 day trips for June.
I have so far found www.spiceroads.com and www.grasshopperadventures.com on Google.
They both seem to do a 4 or 5 day tour to Kanchanaburi.
Thanks.
Some more stuff from DJ Nippa. I just get it sent in an email every now and then, so thought that I would pass it on.

Credit card numbers are so passe. Today’s hackers know the real powerhouse data to steal is emission certificates.
That’s exactly what hackers went after last week when they obtained unauthorized access to online accounts where companies maintain their carbon credits, according to the German newspaper Der Spiegel.
The hackers launched a targeted phishing attack against employees of numerous companies in Europe, New Zealand and Japan, which appeared to come from the German Emissions Trading Aut
Interesting video. This journalist bet that he could withstand more than 15 seconds of the so called "waterboarding" interrogation technique used by the US military. http://content1.clipmarks.com/content/7E8ADC46-F3DD-4D6F-B184-3A07CF501B7C/
I'm booked to fly out to Thailand a week Thursday. Meanwhile its freezing cold and wet here, and I'm bored. Tomorrow morning I am going to the travel agent to see if I can change my flight, to fly tomorrow night, or Wednesday. With luck, I shall be sitting by the pool, or on the beach before Friday, with my first beer in three months. My last one was beginning November, when I was last in Samui. Lets just hope that there are seats available.

Apple sent e-mail invitations to journalists Monday morning for a “special event” to be held next Wednesday in San Francisco. “Come see our latest creation,” the message says.
Unless you’ve been living on another, Internet-deprived planet for the last year or so, you’ve probably got a pretty good idea what this is likely to be: the unveiling of Apple’s long-awaited, breathlessly hyped tablet computer. The device promises to hasten the extinction of paper, solidify Apple’s advantages in the mobi

Had another bike stolen sometime this week. Third one in two years. Trouble was, this one was a carbon fibre, custom built job, worth around £2500. Some dirty filthy scumbag broke the fence into my neighbour's garden below, climbed up on to my balcony, and stole it. It did have a "D" lock on it, but that just carried the whole thing away.Oh for a head to hit with my baseball bat!!!
