My father has been living in Bangkok since 1983.He's now 81 years old (his birthday was April 20), and he suffers from advanced Parkinsons disease. He can no longer use his legs and has bowel control problems. He's also mentally confused often and quite moody. Whether this is a result of the Parkinsons or just senility I don't know.Currently he lives on Sukhumwit soi 24 in a condo which has been renovated to accommodate him and his wheelchair. He lives there with his Thai wife and a couple of he
Pissed myself laughing, that is. I'm not old enough for general incontinence to be a problem. Yet. (However, my 40th birthday is coming soon.) Australians have a sense of humour apparently. Although, the topic is a no-brainer. I mean, if you can't get a laugh out of people by making fun of Americans then you're either dead... or German.Without further ado, I present: Australians making fun of Americans (a YouTube video)
Never eat beans around people with infrared cameras.
Infrared Fart, in case the embedded video player doesn't work for you.(Explanatory note: an infrared camera captures differences in temperatures. It's basically a heat-sensing camera. Different temperatures are translated into different colours in the image.)
I'm giving my honey Ebola for Valentine's Day! Shhh... don't tell her, she's not back from work yet. I want it to be a surprise.Actually, I've given her syphilis and lice before. My son sleeps with a bedbug. So, it's nothing new. We collect them.
I picked up ebola at the university bookstore. (Amazing what you can get there eh?) I think I also got syphilis there. (Now, that's not surprising - colleges are rampant with it... but right in the middle of the bookstore?) You can see a photo here, e
Hi folks, I haven't been online here in quite a while, since summer I think. But I haven't been idle! We've been doing some travelling, I've been working and so on... you know, got to keep the food coming through the door, got to keep Holm and Sand healthy and strong, got to pay for Holm's school. (He started at a good Montessori school not far away from both of his parents' places - we can walk there.) Sand is getting PR, which is great. Finally! The remaining steps are just a formality, but co
Well, the topic of antidepressants came up recently in a TF forum about er... caviar and the pigs who enjoy it. Although the reference was humourous, I posted a note there about a common type of antidepressant and some of its common side effects, mostly to help clear up some claims about them.
I've been using an antidepressant for about 3 years, and I'm very sure there are other people active on this site who are also using them - use of antidepressants has increased dramatically in farang coun
I don't own any shares in these companies and I am not encouraging you to buy these products. I haven't tested any of them, but if you do, please report back here.
Just posting these links because they are ... um... interesting. (Warning-These links will take you to sites with adult content)
For girls (and guys):
Be sure to click on the link to see it move!
Note from female friend who told me about them:

A placenta, also called the afterbirth in English, is á or ÊËªÒµÔ in Thai. (I looked it up at http://www.thai2english.com, a cool thai<-->eng online dic that I just found.)
Here's a recipe for placenta in case you were wondering just what to do with the damn thing.
While blogging my experience eating placenta, I did a Google search and came up with this column from Cecil, the Straight Dope author, in which he is asked whether eating placenta is just an urban myth. Well, when I r
OK I know we're not allowed to advertise on TF, but I'm a mod so of course I'm going to break the rules I've sworn to uphold.
Anyway, I've got a case of 30 dozen of these things that I'm selling at half price.
Please visit Cheaper than Starbucks!
Orders may be emailed to me.
Before Xmas Sand and I took a little road trip up to Ottawa and Montreal, places I haven't been for a long time. We rented a car, which came with a CD and MP3 player which was awesome... except that Sand has CDs full of 10 hours of Thai pop MP3s 5555
It snowed the whole trip. A bit cold at first, typical of Ottawa and Montreal, but got a lot milder (just below freezing) for the last couple of days. I was able to show Sand my snow driving skills
The Parliament buildings were
OK, this is a boring topic that has been done many times. But I'm on my third glass of wine, nursing a cold and a headache, Sand's at work, I'm catching up on TF after being too busy for a week, so piss off if you don't like it.
I vote for people because I saw something I like about that person. A post that made me laugh or was well put, a pretty pic in the case of girls, something funny on a profile, sometimes just for visiting my profile. I also vote just to say "hello" to people that I li
OK, here's an idea for a contest. How about funny first date stories? I'll float the idea to the other mods if it seems like people would like that. We could pick a few volunteers to judge the entries.
Everyone's got to have some funny/scary/memorable first date stories that would be worth sharing.
Here's an account of my first date with Sand! Not nearly as funny as some of you can come up with, I'm guessing, but kind of embarrassing for me!
In Canada we have a marital status called "common law." You and your partner (of the same or opposite sexes!) come into this status when you have lived together in a "conjugal relationship" (i.e., you're lovers) for at least a year.
Many people these days opt not to get married, and remain in common law relationships. Once you're in a common law relationship, both partners have certain legal rights similar to marriage in case the relationship ends.
You also have the right to get immigration
Hey, ever since I added some adult pics to my profile, the number of visitors to my profile has gone way way up!
I wonder... does that say something about TF members?
(TF members are easily pleased? TF members are hard up for thrills? Hehehe.)
I have a great little boy named Holm, Old English for "sea"... have close family living in BKK (near Emporium! ) ... and BKK is also where wonderful Sand, my fiancee, is from, and where we first met in person. I'm studying/working in Toronto ... travel a lot... have a talent for chopping wood, it's very relaxing!
Holm's full name is Holm Yþan Quetico MacDonald Gill. Now that's a mouthful, but his name has some interesting stories. And, it has a letter which is no longer used in modern Englis
Glad HTML is back on personal profiles, although some people have chosen backgrounds that make their profiles damn hard to read! (Vanilla... actually yours isn't bad.)
But I love being able to add music!
Naturally I have chosen some schlocky romantic songs.
Sheesh, what's happening at TF?
tammy_kawaii, paulcollins, seamistblue, csxxxxxx (sorry Craig I forget the digits)... all gone. The girls probably tired of so many wankers pointlessly hitting on them, instead of actually trying to be friends and nothing more.
Or maybe everyone got sick of all the creationist bullshit filling the forums.
Or maybe they ran off to join Scientology.
Everyone undoubtedly sick of backstabbing bitchery and evil rumours started up by losers, both male and female, w
Well here's some of my recent news. I know many of you have an interest in Sand, with the hope that she'll be moving back to BKK so that you can get your evil clutches on her! Over my dead body!
I've also logged in to TF several times in the last few days, and got some decent amusement reading about and leaving a few of my own turds here and there in the forums and journal comments.
I thnk Nong Nooch is going a bit crazy though. Somebody find that girl a decent guy for LTR!

Why does my profile show my age as 38 now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why why why??????
It's not truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Not until 9am Nairobi time... I still have until then... a few more hours....
I always found it interesting that Asians use blood type as a way to predict features of personality. It's important enough that celebrity profiles will often list it, along with birthday, eye colour and so on. You can easily find the blood type of even your favourite Japanese AV actress! (Or should I say, "actress"?) To a farang, this is funny or strange, especially the idea that blood types could be used to help find or avoid certain relationship matches.
By the way girls, I'm blood type
Well, I got my great steak dinner yesterday. Thank you Blair and Karol Wojtyla, one of whom is better known as Pope John Paul II. You can read the gory details here.
Somebody asked for a Sand update. In fact, it was Da Freak, who as far as I know is still strongly attached (at the hip) to The Cat. (How is everything there? I haven't been around TF much at all, so I don't know the latest.)
Well, Sand is busy busy busy with her school. She has one semester left to get a technical diploma i
