I would like to take this opportunity to wish myself a wonderful birthday, and best of luck in the coming year. Interesting historical events that took place on June the 12th :June 12 1962 - Three convicts used spoons to dig their way out of Alcatraz prisonJune 12 1964 - Big Bang Theory supported by new celestial evidence - Blue Galaxies
June 12 1942 - Anne Frank receives a diary as a birthday present, AmsterdamJune 12 1931 - Al Capone is indicted on 5,000 counts of Prohibition and PerjuryJune
I was at my friend's house the other day up in the mountains in Samui, there came in some clouds from the ocean and suddenly, a small funnel cloud came down, touched the water and created a nice waterspout. This then continued on straight into Hua Thanon fishing village, it seems no one was hurt, just a few things thrown about and some wet people. Great pic though
Well, it seems to have snuck up on me again, another year has flown by, and what a year it was! In the past year I sold my busness in Vancouver, moved halfway across the big ball and started 2 new businesses here. I am very pleased with the way things are going at the moment, so my birthday wish is not for me, but instead for all of you: May this year be full of whatever the hell it is that you wish for in your sordid little minds....
Well well well. Seems to me like this is a bit like putting the fox in the henhouse and saying "Open for business lads!"
Be that as it may, I would like to publicly announce my appointment to middle management (oh how far I have climbed) here at TF and encourage every one to feel free to say Hi, ask questions I have no ability to answer and insult and abuse me in any way you see fit.
As my first order of business I asked if I could ban someone that is popular and has done nothing wrong, (fir
On my way to the big stank tank forthwith. I'll be in HK on the 6th, and if I can find a flight right away I'll be in BKK same night. Looking forward to seeing some of the usual ugly mugs, and maybe this time around we can have a truly evil BNO. See you soon, and advance warning to reset the liver toxicity meters shortly. Night all - J
I just got back home from my trip to Thailand. Some observations:
Bangkok has got much busier somehow since my last trip. The hive has expanded to the point at which every bit of oxygen has already passed through either an internal combustion engine or somebody's lungs. I really love the frenetic pace and although I've grown up in cities I really don't think that I could make a life there. Though, if I had only 24 hours to live this city would be amongst my first choices.
Now onto the peopl
A friend of mine took these at the beginning of a Tornado that they had last week in Ontario, Canada. He lives very close to where the tornado hit land, and many houses were destroyed. Some amazing pics here!
I was out the other night at a friends house for a beer/BBQ chillin sunday evening when an old friend stopped by. I had not seen this old friend for quite some time, as apparently, he had moved to Thailand 8 months ago. Making a long story longer, he has opened a business in Thailand and wants me to come over and work with him! I would be living on Samui (if it all works out) and probably travelling within the country now and then for business. Fortune cookie was spot on this time I guess...wish
Well, officially it's tomorrow but in Thailand its my Birthday now. I just woke up with a bit of a poison induced (damn Lychee flavoured shots) hangover. Some friends rented out a small nightclub last night and we had a big party, which was great since I haven't had a proper Birthday party for a while. Included are a few pics (mostly of me with pretty girls to brag and glorify my existence) and some funny getting older quotes. I must say though, as much as i enjoyed the party, I am done ageing.
So, I was working on the house today, just puttering around and procrastinating as usual. Suddenly, there was a flash storm, black clouds covened over my house, its started to pour, and then as soon as it started, it went back to being sunny again. There was however, a beautiful rainbow showing outside, so i got my camera, took a few pics and it was then i realised my opportunity. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
After snapping a few pics, I guesstimated the correct coordinates for w
Just started to wonder about lil Dylan, he really doesn't like women in general, hates his doggie companion Penny, and spends most of his time trying to cuddle up to or get affection from guys. Now, when he's around other guy dogs, he's a tough cookie, generally holding his own with much bigger dogs. The kind of behaviour one might expect in a prison yard...(insert all purpose disclaimer here). I really dont have a problem with the fact that he may be gay, but err...what do i do to help him out?
So, we got snowed in the other day, and have had no power or heat or food really, for 3 days. Well, we did have some canned food, but thats to keep you going more than anything. Beans, anyone? So, took a chance this morning and drove the 4x4 down a very steep .5 km driveway to see if we could get into town, and the road was clear so here we are! I'm staying at my stepdads office and half the Island is out of power, but we have power, tv, cable, internet etc, and are quite near the grocery store
Well, we are back from the hospital, and it turns out everything is all right after all. The doctors did an angiography, and found only a very small problem with her heart, which they took care of right away, and it looks like long term they think that she will not need a bypass or any other procedures. So, I am of course incredibly relieved and I wish to formally thank all the great people who took the time and cared enough to pass on good wishes and prayers for my mom. Thanks Tf peeps!!!!!!
Mom is moving hospitals tomorrow, off-island to Victoria and to a much better equipped cardiac ward. So, I will go with her, and get a hotel for the next few days to a week. I will miss all my tf friends, and don't forget to wish Khun Judy luck with her operation!
Well, My mother is back in the hospital, 5th time this year so far. She has had 3 Angioplasty procedures, for major occlusions in the arteries of her heart. This time, it looks like it's bypass surgery time, and although the success rate of these surgeries is generally high, its hard for her to go through these procedures, and to hope that they finally have things under control and then find out that she has more chest pain, more occlusions that the doctors have missed, and more surgeries to com
