..SOMETHING (MUSIC) WORTH SHARING

...though not a big fan of "guns, drugs & hoes" rap, you have to admire Mos Def   (and yes, I know a lot will disagree, and if you don't like it...well) I especially enjoy Mos Def / Immortal Technique because of his skills with words, but also because he actually has something (important!?) to say. I know this will never get airtime (due to the cuzz words and the political / anti-bush statements, so I thought Id share it with you all here on TF. If you are not a big fan of rap I ask that yo

..something worth sharing

..as it happens sometimes you stumble over some site that is actually surprisingly good and as such worth sharing. So, here you go. http://www.tv-links.co.uk The site offers Shows (Monty Pythons Flying Circus / Blackadder / Bottom / Jackass) Cartoons (South Park / The Simpsons) Documentaries (Super Size Me / Farenhein 9/11 - WAY too many good documentaries to list them all here) Anime (Not my thing, but they are there) Movies (Transformers / Simpsons The Movie) Music Videos (

..the signs of the times

Between playing internet poker and chatting with friends in distant lands I went surfing on www.dumpalink.com where I came across these pictures.... ..and so, once more, rather than taking the time to TRY writing something vaguely insightful I went for the old faithful "copy" / "cut and paste"... ...enjoy this (by me) CENCORED collection of signs. Some of them are quite funny I think. C.

..say what?! (BUSH BASHING)

..though the Muslim world burns my country's flag in its streets as I write you this, I must settle for cut and paste "Bush Bashing". Its Sunday and Bush Bashing is about as creative as I can get at the moment... Besides - I dont feel like saving the world today.. C. ..say what? View more video clips at Yashi

..BUSH - (once more) an easy target.

I read Kun Lungs journals bashing Bush (no pun intended) and remembered the picture of Bush with the book. After a short Google search it (and more) is here for you to enjoy too.. ..and from the wonderful world of TV (only ONE of these are fake) "Cheap shot" C. ...almost forgot

"..I read Bukowski"

"..pick up my book, I read Bukowski" Red Hot Chili Peppers admitted to me in a moment of intimacy on a busted up red radio in Isan back in 91'. I myself had not yet had the pleasure but when I finally did get a chance to read him he became (still is) one of my favorite poets / authors. I don't know what it is that fascinates me so much about his work. Maybe it is the rawness of his language or the reassuring fact that I'm not the only (occasional) disillusioned human being on earth. I know som

..the Death of Santa..

There is about 2 billion children in the world. Santa, however, does not need to visit the Muslims, Hindus, Jews or Buddhists which will reduce the number of children on his list to 15% or 378 million children. With a world average of 3,5 children per household, there are 108 million houses to visit, assuming there is at least ONE good child per house.. Santa has, due to the different time-zones and the rotation of the world, about 31 hours to complete the job, assuming he takes the logical wa

Happiness, the 10 Commandments of

In the past the hunt for happiness has been reserved philosophers, priests, theologians, therapists, assorted breweries/chemists and lifestyle gurus but now scientists have joined this exquisite list too. Scientists have mapped out the 10 things they consider the most important when striving to achieve "happiness". The ten factors are graded on a scale ranging from one to five depending on their overall importance. (The notes written in parentheses are NOT scientific fact but merely my own m

Der Untergang / The Downfall

I saw "Der Untergang" (The Downfall) a couple of days ago, and I have not been able to stop thinking about it. The movie depicts Adolf Hitler's final days in his Berlin bunker at the end of WWII. I have seen tons of movies about WW II, but it was kind of interesting to see a different side of the War. When was the last time you saw a Nazi being kind? Who didn't have a limp and monocle ? Who was NOT christianed Faust or Graff Dunkelwald and who did NOT make lampshades of human skin or shot fle

G.I Joe

The 213 Things Skippy is No Longer Allowed to Do in the U.S. Army Once upon a time, there was a SPC Schwarz stationed with the Army in the Balkans. SPC Schwarz was either very clever or very bored; but probably both, since he managed to attempt or be warned about 213 things he wasn't allowed to do. He collected those things into a hillarious list and posted them to the web. To enjoy the list in full go to : http://www.skippyslist.com/skippylist.html My personal favotites, well here they are.

MORALS?!

" A mans morals (..and I guess the same goes for women !?) can be measured in the things he would NOT do even though he knew no one would ever know!" My question is: knowing no one would ever know, what would you do / not do? If all your desires could be quenched by merely taking what you wanted.. would the guy that pissed you off last weekend find toilet clean in his beer, his brakes gone in mid morning traffic, a 100 K of coke in his suitcase the next time he crossed the Malaysian Border,

Is God watching !?

Another night wasted, drinking beer and whiskey chasers, looking at cigarette smoke dissolve into thin nothingness and the non-bra wearing waitress. I did this for a couple of hours only to find myself realizing it has been 5 months (to the day) since I was in my close brush with death on the Thai roads...and since my friends will not be there for another couple of hours, I fear you will have to listen to it. I had been teaching my (girlfriend to be) student German lessons. A friend picked us u

Traveling Diaries.

I was looking through my Yahoo "sent box" and found some travel descriptions from my time in Asia and was wondering if anyone (besides me) could see the fun in reading about others traveling experiences? I think it would be nice for first timers in Asia to get the low-downs on different places ( NOT drunk, tall tales of barhopping, but impressions of life "On the Road" in this wonderful continent) and hopefully entertaining for the rest of us too... Here goes... Traveling Diary - Malaysia My
