7 am and I woke up in to a rainy and cloudy day. Someone mentioned it will be the worst day of the trip according to weather forecast. The boat kept rocking right and left. The glasses on the table made some noises as it hit each other. The pens keep rolling back and forth from one edge to the other. Dive leader came in and gave us info on the dive site. I was stumbling to put a wetsuit on while I could hardly balance myself. My left hand held on to the rail while my right hand zipped up the wetsuit.

We dived deep 30 meters, not much light came through the surface. Watching fishes having their breakfast, I suddenly feel my stomach roar of hunger. And there it was, the huge parrotfish, which I hope to see it on my plate. The current became stronger and kept pushing me to the surface. I did my 3 mins safety stop before letting the wave force me to the top. 4 meters wave came while I climbed up on the dingy.

8 people combined for the night dive. Both dive leaders tried to show us teeny tiny life like crab or shrimp. I saw the biggest Moray eel. It was so big we joked that it must have a human baby inside its stomach. 2 big crabs found hiding in the coral. It?s dark but down there was so bright because all divers from all boats came to dive at the same place. It was so bright that it?s almost like a daytime. I took photos of the sleeping fishes which I could never make it while it?s awake. Yes!!! Fish sleeps just like us. They go out during the day and sleep at night. Eyes open though. And some fishes are lazy enough not to move when you get close to them. Even the flashlight doesn?t make them move a bit. I got back on the dingy and surprise to see how many boats were sailing around us. There must be like 15 boats. The dive leader explains that every boat came to hide from the wave at this area. Back on the boat a couple divers were having some whisky while playing cards. I went to watched Gladiator, played some scrabble before going to bed.

asagohanryo : There's so many liveabroad boats to choose from depends where you want to go na. Ouch...6 months to recover....and you still wanna go...that's a real spirit!!

Jay24 : Similan Islands has lots of BIG fishes. I've seen Baracudas, Trouts, Jacks, Groupers.
