Hmm i am wondering...

should i get LASIX done?

I am very lil nearsighted and also very lil astigmatism (first time i write this word in english... it sounds like asthma.. hahaha...)... but i am so bored with this eyeglasses...and i look like auntie wearing them....especially at night when driving .. all those lights... ohh noo.. i used to wear lens but worn it too many years and the doctor said i got allergic with most of the lens now...

and the most important thing is that i cant view any hot guys at afar... well... well... well... ... when my friends saw some hot guys... but i didnt cus they all looked the same for me... distorted and blurry... i dont wanna be left out....

should i pay more than Bht. 50,000.- just to see guys in distance???

Ok, lets get serious here....

Anyone done it before? which is the better place to go in BKK? any side effect? any suggestion?

:D

I was wearing glasses for about 28 years. I looked like a nerd with my glasses. Well, I finally have the Lasix done last year at BH.

The most common question people ask me is about the pain. Well it was scary cause at BH, they bought a wheel chair to wheel me to the operation room. I don't know why, I can just walk there. There I was held down by 3 person. It was really painful. But only for about 50 seconds per eye.

Now thinking back on it. I think it is worth it and would recommend it. It is good not needing glasses, but even without the glasses, I still look like a nerd.

As for the side effect, I find I am more sensitive to light now than before. Actually the doctor advise to wear a pair of sunglasses for at least one week.

During the first month, you are going to see yourself using eye drop to wet your eyes almost every 2 hours. It will appear to people that you are crying.

BTW, you don't want to be crying doing the first 2 weeks. It will really hurt the eye. I suggest you to schedule all crying activities after 3 weeks.

I don't know if that will help you in your decision or not. I just thought you should get an opinion from someone who actually did it.

There is a new study showing that time of year effects outcome of results. Supposedly, your eyes adjust according to the seasons which in bkk are hot, hotter, hottest, but nonetheless, it has been shown that if lasix is done on a particular season, many have to go back for a 2nd treatment to fine tune things. Do a search on medline for more info or ask you doctor about it. good luck

I have my assistance did a little research and she told me that BCH at silom have a 20% off deal for Lasix. The normal price is 30,000 per eye (That is the price I paid at BH). With the discount, it would be 24,000 per eye.

There number is 026340560 79 .

Hope this is useful to you.

Also to help you save a little more money. Just tell the doctor you already have the wet drop. It would be cheaper for you to buy them at waton then to get it from them.
