Hello Everyone,

I've been a member siince April 4, 2006. My reason to join was to try to meet new lady friends on this site? However, many profiles have a photo other than the member? That does not help me to try to find my special lady :-( Another thing that bothers me a great deal, is that when you take the time to send a message to someone that you wish to try to become better friends with.....you hardly ever get a reply back from that person? The voting business is a joke, is everyone that has become a member really cares about their vote count? This is not an election site for any office! This site is to try to meet others, and hopefully become better friends or finding your very special person!! Amen Eddie in Hawaii

Eddie, my friend, don't take it so seriously. If you are in a real hurry the internet is full of mail order bride websites. This is more of a social experiment site and most TF connections are made right here in Thailand. If you lived here, you could meet some members at TF parties or throw your own party.

Another consideration is the males on this site outnumber the females by about five to one, so the girls are quite choosy. Don't expect a gal to quit her university studies or her job to fly to Hawaii just because she enjoys sex. She can find that here too.

The list of faults and shortcomings and obstacles of finding a true mate on TF is almost infinite.

But I can tell you this from my heart: There are some very kind and good-hearted members in this hodge podge of personalities who share your sense of frustration, disappointment and hopelessness and can empathize with your pain.

You've only been a member for a few months. Give it a bit more time and input before you just consider it a "lost cause".

I believe if there is something that you specifically want or need in a partner, either you will find it here at TF, or somebody here at TF will tell you where you can find the one to meet your specifications. Just be clear on exactly what it is you need (beyond the fact that she enjoy sex).

Edie, usually the Internet is between 8 and 20 times more guys. I think that with TF you can play and have fun and then when visiting Thailand meet some people. There other dating sites more serious about a fast marriage....good luck, don't take it personally. Also, a lot of the ladies here are (at least to me) younger, and tend not to have enough life experience to "separate the wheat from the chaff."

(This is not meant to be a criticism, same is true of younger guys; you define what "younger" means.)

You've made a good choice by writing a journal and getting noticed. If you create a profile and expect the private messages to start rolling in, forget it. If you participate regularly in the TF community, you WILL be noticed and then who knows? And if you truly want to meet someone from TF, the best place to do it is in Thailand, not from behind a computer monitor.

My Thanks to all members that read my journal and given me some input, However I've been to Thailand 7 trips since Dec 2004 with my search for my very special lady :-) Maybe some lady members out there can give me a nice introduction to one of their friends or whatever? As to the sex thing, this is only a reminder to any Thai lady, as a normal need, for many Thai ladies are not really into sex as I undersand under their cultures, etc. Thanks for reading my journal :-)
