...no, not me...

There?s a show here in the US called ?Blind Date?. The premise of the show is that contestants fill out questionnaires about the type of person they?d like to date and then the show?s producers match people up for a blind date. The camera?s follow them along so we, the audience, get to watch how things work (or in more cases not work) out.

Yes, I know that it is trashy TV, but nothing else was on?and sometimes they have really good-looking girls going out on the dates?not that I would watch for that reason alone (wink) (wink).

On this last episode, there was a really, really attractive woman in her mid twenties. She was dressed very sexy (perhaps a bit too sexy for a first date). She had a short skirt, high heels and an extremely low-cut blouse revealing ample breasts. She had a very pretty face and looked perhaps mixed between Caucasian and Hispanic with perhaps a little bit of Asian.

Well, the guy that was with her was clearly not in her league. He was an obnoxious, loud, cocky guy in his mid thirties with a receding hair line. He seemed to be in pretty good shape and claimed to be a former professional athlete.

After getting to know each other over dinner, they shared the following exchange?

Guy: ?What kind of work do you do??

Girl: ?I don?t want to discuss that.?

Guy: ?Why??

Girl: ?I just don?t.?

(A long pause)

Guy: ?I asked because I thought that would be a normal question to ask on a first date.?

Girl: ?I said I didn?t want to talk about, so please stop asking me.?

Guy: ?Okay, okay. But you know, by not wanting to talk about it, it just makes me more curious.?

Girl (starting to get upset): ?I told you, I don?t want to discuss this.?

Guy: ?But it isn?t such a bad question.?

(She just gives him a look to let him know that she is annoyed by this conversation)

Guy: ?Okay.?

(Another longer pause)

Guy: ?Can you just give me a hint.?

Girl: ?No! Please, I don?t want to talk about it.?

Guy: ?Why, is it bad??

(Another dirty look from her to him)

Guy: ?Really, I think it is normal for someone to ask someone else on a first date, what kind of work they do. Can I guess??

Girl: ?If I said I didn?t want to talk about it, why do you keep pressing the issue??

Guy: ?I just think it is a normal thing to talk about. Were you a stripper? Is it because you?re a stripper??

(The girl now drops her head in her hands and begins to cry)

Guy: ?What?s the matter??

Girl (screaming at him): ?I told you I didn?t want to talk about it! And now you think I am a stripper. Why because of the way I dress? What gives you the right to judge me? You?re an a$$hole! Just because I didn?t want to tell you what my job is, you have to judge me and think I?m a stripper.?

(She begins crying again)

Guy: ?I didn?t mean to upset you like this, I was just curious. I think you are getting way too upset over this.?

(She?s still crying)

Guy: ?So you?re not a stripper??

Girl: ?You a$$hole! I had a wonderful job working in a law firm in Florida, but I gave it all up to move to Texas and become an airline stewardess. There, are you happy? I told you! I?m an airline stewardess.?

Guy: ?Why didn?t you want to talk about that??

Girl: ?Cause the job I gave up was really good. I always dreamed about being an airline stewardess, so I did it. It was a really stupid decision. I should?ve stayed in Florida.?

Guy: ?There?s nothing bad about being an airline stewardess.?

Girl: ?Are you happy? Now you know!?

(She grabs her purse and runs away leaving him sitting alone at the table)

My thoughts:

He?s an idiot to keep on asking.

She?s way too sensitive.

Was it right for him to judge her because she was being secretive and dressed very sexy?

Should she expect that kind of judgment when she is so secretive and sexy dressing?

How come I?ve never seen her on any of the planes I?ve flown on?

Why am I watching this?

Hate to break it to you, but many of the people on that show are struggling actors. I've seen them film at the various clubs around los angeles and they do retakes, and the whole bit.

How often do you fly? I rather turn the TV off than watching it.. lolz

He is an idoit and if i was that girl, i would leave him since the 3rd time he asks..

And if i was him, i would leave her alone tho... lolz
