I was just wondering if anyone has a url address or location on where to go in Bangkok to ship something by boat. I have about 11 kilo that I want to ship from Bangkok to the United States. I am not interested in shipping by Fedex or UPS so please do not tell me how much it cost to ship Fedex.

I heard shipping by boat is much cheaper but I can't find any information on it online.

There are 3,500,000 exporters here in Thailand, every family has one. You can find them on the web, you can use them for shipping things anywhere in the world at the cheapest price as they have an exporters license.

However as an alternartive I suggest you check out http://www.santaferelo.com/ecs/index.jsp I have usrd them twice, and they are excellent.

fed x has a 25 kilo box for a set price, also there is the postal service that has an express, international insured form of shippping.

i ship to usa in 10 kg crate boxes for 3700bht and 25 kg for 5500bht .. 3 days express...sometimes a little cheaper if they have a promo on. this charge includes brokerage and customs clearance.. the receiver will still be responsible for taxes and duties if applicable.

as for sea freight, it is cheaper, but will take 26-30 days to arrive, about 90usd per cubic metre.. not an issue of weight, but of space.. there is usually documentation charges and other fees, but u will also be responsible for custome clearance and duties.

the other way is to go air freight via air cargo... this is the way i do it..

The fedex 25 kilo box is a joke! You can barely fit 10 kilo in the box and you still get charged for the price of 25 kilo because you are using that box. I would never ship anything fedex here. If you want to use the 10 kilo box it is even smaller. Its great if you have something small that weighs a lot but otherwise Fedex is ripping you off by using their boxes!

I tried the Fedex box of 25 kg.

I filled it up with 25 liter of water.

It fitted excactly!!!

I think you should read more carefully what I say before you comment back. I said it is great if you have something small that weighs a lot but if you have something big that is not heavy then it is not feasable to use Fedex. Maybe instead of just trying to rebut something that people say you should read messages more clearly! Your comment was a Joke!
