I have been a member of Leicester Areoclub for nearly 5 years. Its close to my home has very good bar and food and is a well kept airfield. the members are friendly and helpfull and there are club aircraft i can hire when i want to fly. About one year ago i joined the fire crew. At weekends members who have undergone training stand in at weekends to provide emergancy aid if something should go wrong. These pics where taken while i was on duty this sat 4 Feb. the first pic is of the control tower 8am coming on duty

God, you make me jealous, I miss my flying so much...First solo, Remember it like it was yesterday, from Norwich..."GATEZ ready for departure", To say those words always brought a smile to my face:)

haha yes my first solo i will never forget too. i was expecting not to go because of bad weather so me and some of the other guys on the course went out the night before. we all got very drunk. so i had a bit of a hangover haha

but you can fly in thailand give it a go if you miss it. failng that if your licence has expired when i get over there we can hire a plane and go for a jolly
