So far, all is well in Manila. I have set up a sort of beer-riddled work schedule, I've found time to have the occassional jog up Roxas Blvd by Manila Bay, and I've even found time to catch some movies -- and at about 150 baht for the movie AND snacks, it's a deal. I've seen the new Hannibal (a bit slow, but sufficiently gory), Night at the Museum (childish, but entertaining), The Messenger (scared the piss out of me) and now Ghost Rider. What a GREAT movie. Loved it.And now it's time to complain to our TF friends from the Philippines. Why is it that nobody actually WATCHES the movies they go to see -- and half the audience leaves and/or enters half way through any movie? I was on the verge of standing up and yelling a friendly shut-the-hell-up during the movie, but didn't, thinking that this must be a cultural thing. Is this normal movie going behaviour? Anyway, that complaint aside, I love Manila. I had adobo and pancit for lunch the other day, and inihaw and sinigang yesterday. Starting to get used to the food. I'd recommend the Philippines to anybody. It's fantastic. But it might be best to catch your favourite flics at Siam Discovery before flying here :)
