This maybe the wrong time of day to get a good response so i may post this more than once I was in BKK about 4 years ago and was taken to a great place a couple of times. I have no idea where it is or what it was called but i would love to go back there. I have asked many people and no one has ever heard of it.I will try to describe itIt was less than 15-20 min from The jade pevillion hotel sukumvitt soi 22it had a large car park and it was a single building very large like a warehouse size building with steps leading up to glass frontage for entrance.when you get inside there was a desk and reception for buying tickets then you go into the main room itselfInside was very big again like a warhouse converted. there is a large stage at the front, and tables and chairs all arond for dinning and drinking. The ceiling is very high and blcked out as the lighting is usually low like in a nightclub. There was a baclony area where you could site also and look down on the show. It seemed to hold at least a 1000 people maybe more mostly Thai. Both times i went i was nearly the only farang. There was no obviouse german theme but there seemed a lot of german food on the menu, and beer also. You could sit down eat and drink and watch the show. there seemed to be a mix of Thai music groups singers and funny men all night on the stage. and maybe some thai radio hosts as well. there was music played also for dancingThere person i went with pointed out someThai movie stars  one evening too I had some good times there and it was a great place i would love to go back thereif i new where it was lol

Hmmmmmmmm

i have looked at the Tawandang website. I am not sure it looks more decorated than i remember, and there seems more of a german theme than i remember. But then it was 4 years ago. But the seating and the stage and the balcony look about right so maybe.

It looks a fun place anyway...

Who says we all get together there for a party when i eventually get to thailand :)

Thanks for the help everyone :)
