Just curious if anyone knows of any good hotels in Phuket that were right on Patong Beach? I was in Phuket a few years ago and stayed at this hotel not far from Patong Beach.  It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The only thing was it was a drag walking there all the time. So I will be in Phuket again on August 17 and I was thinking about booking a hotel before I come. However I have found that most of the hotels that are right on beach are not that cheap. If anyone knows of any that are really nice and don't cost an arm and leg I would love to hear about them. I also wanted to say thanks to all the people that have given me great advice on some of my other questions that I have posted in my journals.  Names and links would be greatly apprecitated. I stayed in the Patong beach hotel it was lovely and not too expensive depends how cheap cheap is tho.....Pool area is beautiful and so relaxing, very quiet but right across the road from the beach which most are I think......Has the banana disco on site and a few mins walk from Bangala road.

Should be in most websites like asiarooms.com and sawasdee.com

Yeah, I liked and can recommend Patong Bay Garden too....Not the best bargain, but great location and nice comfortable rooms.

montana grand is 2min walk to the beach

Patong Resort..side gate is less than 20 seconds walk into Bangla Road and no more than a few minutes to the beach..expect to pay about 1800-1900bt for deluxe room outside near the pool.

Stayed there 3 times this year..when u go say hi to my friend Dang on the outside pool area..shes funny...and lesbian..!

I stayed the Patong beach resort, nice room close to the beach and Bangala Rd. But had difficuties with guest, wanted extra money

10 minute walk to the beach is too far, u lazy sod.

Best value places are usual down the small soi's.

I prefer Blueocean, the hotel and not the TF member.

Well given a chance, but hey couldnt afford her, so make do with the hotel.

Besides she spends half her life living in a pig sty.

Lamai Hotel or Lamai Inn are good value and short walk, or 500 baht Tuk tuk, to the beach

Patong Pearl, Sawadirat road, 1100 baht a night that time of year and hmm, 3 minute walk to the beach. Good rooms, brekkie and nice pool.

A dive shop I used to work for uses that hotel and have had countless good reviews from the customers.
