Few people would have any idea about how much time and support Stu gave to Mike over the past year. Whereas this journal is not intended to be an ode to Stu, and some people know we are the best of friends, he deserves to be thanked from anyone who liked Mike due to the comfort he was to Mike whilst he was sick and the much needed friendship Mike required during the many times he was incapacitated.

People have a right to think what they want of people, it's a free world, and I know some people aren't exactly fans of Stu, however few would have any idea how much support Stu gave Mike in so many ways from managing his financial affairs to caring for him through doing the shopping, buying his prescriptions, taking him to the doctors and hospital etc. etc. All this whilst Stu cared for his own mum and ran a business. This is not to say many others didn't give Mike friendship and support, of course many did, however it was Stu who the hospital phoned to advise of Mike passing away, enough said.   

Stu busted his butt simple and plain...And for that he is to be commended!

I agree. He is to be commended, especially in what has to be a very tough time for him.

What Stu did for Mike was unmatchable! Khun lung was very kind to me so I would like to Thank you Stu for all he has done and also would like to thank you for posting such a great journal!

It is however sad, that any commendation should be given. Just goes to show the world we live in now.

Nicky has it right - That's what friends are for.

Always remember, all of us, at some time, will get sick, old, or both, and need help.

Over the past weeks, there have been times when I have simply not had the time to do as I would have liked, due to work commitments, and other commitments. That just goes to show, that when it comes to friendship, it's not an individual thing, it's a team effort. I believe, that as a team, all of us, his friends on TF, gave him a whole lot of comfort and love at the time when he needed it. I don't care if it was several visits to the hospital, sending flowers, sending an sms to wish him well - each action showed Mike that we cared, and it meant a lot to him.

Koodos to Mike for commending Stu for the Big Heart awards...

True Friends still have on TF. Stu, you prove it to people.

I can attest to the fact that Stu was on 24 hour call, as I was with Stu one 3am in the morning when Mike called for help. It's amazing to me the relationship they had together and an honor for me to know both men. I agree, in many instances TF stands for Thailand Family. Poonie should be commended also for all the hours she spent with Uncle Mike both at the hospital and at home.

I am soo shock now to see all the journal talking about Khun Lung...It's soo quick for this coz last week... he seem getting better.... I never meet Stu but from journal of him... i can see that they are best friend....and best friend can start from internet.. i believe coz stu and Khun lung make me believe....RIP khun lung..

Thank you SO MUCH Mike for those truly wonderful words about my son. When I visited Mike in hospital, he said Stuart was a hero in his eyes, and I am so proud of him. I know that the next few days are going to be very hard for Stuart as he has a lot to do, winding down Mike's affairs. I will try to help all I can, but the responsibility is great for him. Thank goodness he has many friends who, I feel sure, will assist him where possible. I would also like to thank POLLENE, who I know was at the hospital with Stuart last night. She has been of tremendous help in providing nursing care for Mike. Finally, rest in peace, Mike, knowing that your friend, Stuart, will make sure that everything is in place for you.
