Is anyone following the US markets at the moment?Wholly cow (or bear I should say), the Dow is currently down 300 points.  And it is the second time this week that it has fallen over 200 points.The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 is also down 2 plus % so far today.Oh boy, lets hope it does not cause a financial meltdown worldwide tomorrow - like the Asian Financial Meltdown 10 years ago...........And at this very moment, the US dollar is in a steep dive - the chart looks as if it has fallen over a cliff. 

Don't worry, the meltdown tomorrow is not expected to be worldwide.

yea.. this only affects my income, since we base it n the US dollar.. Talk about a 45% pay cut in past 2 yrs.. and still have to do the same amount of work.. Sux, but still better than not getting paid at all.

Ya, my problem is I have long positions in the markets....

If I had short positions, I would be jumping for joy and planning a year long holiday....

anything can be happened... when it comes to business esp* finance. Sometime u lost, sometime u gain... simple as that.

Yeah, it has been a tough day. In the segment of the business where I work, what matters is relative performance -- how I do versus a given benchmark. With the market about to close shortly, I'm ahead on both portfolios, large cap value and small cap value. But has it been rough today? Yes.

alot from war, outsourcing jobs and nobody buying american

what goes up will comes down, what come down will goes down. It's a cycle.. Who controls the market? The Riches, of course.
