A policeman was being cross examined by an arrogant lawyer defending his client on an armed robbery charge.He was asked if he recognised the defendant and he replied yes he did.How do you know it was him when you were so far away from the incident and your fellow officer was much closer.He replied that from the description given over the radio by his partner he was able to recognise the man easily and apprehended him.Do you trust your colleague asked the lawyerWith my life replied the policemanTell me officer, he continued, do you have a changing room at the station?Yes sir we do And do you have a locker in this room?Yes sir I doAnd do you have a padlock on this locker?Yes sir I doThen tell me officer you say that you can trust this man with your life, yet you have to lock your personal possessions in your locker, that seems a bit strange to me does it notNo not really replied the officer with a dead pan face, you see our lockeroom is in the courtroom building and sometimes lawyers have access to this as they make their way to the courts and that is the reason for the locks on the lockers.The lawyer replied NO MORE QUESTIONS OF THIS WITNESS
