Great Ocean Road

Here is my another trip to Great Ocean Road while I am in Victoria, Australia. Forecast said it will be sunny on Thur. and Fri., so we decided to go to GOR on Thur. and Fri. instead of Wed. and Thur., but the forecast lied cos it was cloudly on the day we left home, anyway, we didn't let rain or bad weather stops us. We left home at 11 am. and drove to Melbourne, Geelong, Torquay, Airey's Inlet and Apollo Bay. The road to GOR is very twisting (that made me cuaght a car sick (just a little)). It took us about 5 hours from home to Apollo Bay cos we stopped during the way to take pictures (one of my favourite things). We stayed at Apollo Bay for one night and had a great dinner at Monsoon Restaurant after walked around the town about one hour cos most shops or restaurants are closed at 5 pm. and this season is not holiday season, so there were not many tourists. The place we stayed very nice and I was excited of Electric Blanket cos I never see it in Thailand before....lolIn the next day we drove to the Twele Apostles. It is very fantastic. We were there about 1 hour and head back to Melbourne, arrived at about 3.30 pm., went shopping and had dinner with Wallace, Cosmo, LuckyPhil, Danny and friends of Wallace. Got home at 11 pm. Time for my poor BFOM to sleep after a long distance driving for 2 days.Million thanks to my BFOM again of a great trip that he made for me. Hope you enjoy the Great Ocean Road.

It was good to meet you and Steve last night. I never realised you were so busy doing the tourist thing. And here's me thinking you were being boring leaving early, my sincere apologies. Have a safe trip back home on Wednesday. Make sure you make the most of your remaining 4 days together!!. Chok dee.

Thats a great drive, I loved that trip I made some years ago when I went to Adelaide. That part of the coast is really scenic...highly recommended to anyone! Yes, Australian country towns are very quiet and peaceful in the evenings, and the tourist places are even more so when out of season. I do love to holiday in Oz, just don't think I could go back to living there permanently. Melbourne has some great restaurants for sure, so glad you both enjoyed the drive followed by what must have been a fun dinner.
