it's looks like the one i had inside once, big and very fast, I wasn't going to bed with that thing around, took me about 1 hour through 3 rooms (told u it was fast), caught alive in a plastic container, and set it free in the morning , didn't freak me as much as the snake upstairs on the balcony 1 time lol

I agree with PeeMarc...

looks like a huntsman spider..

Venom toxicity - the bite of Huntsman Spiders is of low risk (non toxic) to humans. They are a non-aggressive group of spiders. However, a large individual can give a painful bite. Beware in summer when the female Huntsman Spider is guarding her egg sacs or young.

Spider Identification - an adult varies greatly around 1/2" (1.2cm) in body length - has long legs - the diameter of an adult including legs may reach 2" (5cm)- the first 2 pairs of legs are longer than rear two - it is hairy - buff to beige brown in color, with dark patches on the body.

Habitat - a hunter that prefers to live under the flaking bark of trees, under flat rocks and under eaves or within roof spaces of buildings. The Huntsman Spider often wanders into homes and is found perched on a wall. It is a shy, timid spider that can move sideways at lighting-fast speed when disturbed.

have agood sleep...nothing to worry about.

Well Kus, it look like you just made yourself a new friend. More reliable than a bf, less bitchy than a gf... I say you buy yourself a nice aquarium and keep it. Spiders are low on maintenance fees, a few flies a week and she'll be happy. Have fun with your new friend :)

Poor little huntsman...if he/she knew all the international commotion his/her appearance on your wall had caused, the poor wee thing would be SO embarrased.

They are OK, they dont try to bite you, and the most they will usually do is to catch and eat bugs around the house.

I admit they are a bit scary. The biggest one I had came into my house when I lived in Springwood, south of Brisbane in Oz. Including the legs, it was about the same size as an ice-cream container...maybe 150mm in diameter.

I think we used to call them a "Tri-anti-wonti-gongalope" when we were kids...cos at that age we couldn't say we saw a "f*ck-off huge spider"!
