Good day TFers,

I am just wondering whether anyone has been to any of the following places: Hua Hin, Cha am or Pranburi (all within the same area I believe)

Just want to know which has better beaches?

Which would you recommend?

Oops, forgot...and which area has easy accessible taxis?

Thanks for any advice.

i have been all of them.....

for the quality of beach..... it depends on where you stay too!! ....

all of them can access easily by taxi .... but the price varies.... i only know the price to huahin... about TB2,500 (BKK-Huahin) and about TB3,000 (Huahin-BKK)... TB500+... i guess because i called thru the resort.

for Huahin and Cha-am, it's easy to get transport or walk to anywhere ie. reataurants, market etc... but for Pranburi... (it goes further than Huahin and Cha-am).... it's very peaceful... but we need car.... because, from the resort, it's quite far from any restaurant.... except you only stay in hotel.... then forget it.

Bkk-----> Chaam ----> Huahin -----> Pranburi ..... taxi would set the price by kilos ja.

Pranburi has been populared for recent years.... there are many new boutique resorts ... very peaceful... if you want to empty your head.... spending your time by grabbling, sitting, eatting and breathing.....

But if you want small activities... go to Huahin...

Cha am, if you prefer somewhere that's quiet and not much going on. Mainly for relaxing.

Hua Hin, if you want some entertainment and nice restaurants.

I've never been to Pranburi yet. ^^

Why dont you ask me, I'm HuaHin Lover!!! Forgot?

Cha-am is okay but maybe not convenience for a tourist like HuaHin. For Pranburi, it's far away from town, if you want to stay peacefully at the hotel only then go there.

HuaHin is easier even for me. I dont need taxi but my two legs! There are all facilities at HuaHin, night market, Hilton Brew (a bar) and plenty of small bars all over but you might not want to hang out there. And do not expect the beautiful beach like in South, owever, HH beach is the best choice. Because I love there. My uncle lives in Pranburi... well Evason is actually located in Pranburi, when u book hotel pls make sure its located in HH town if you're going there... Many hotels said its located around HuaHin in website but they are actually 15-20 mins driving and taxi there coz a lot more than Taxi in BKK... I rent one to lift me to the temple which is about 15mins driving from HH and it cost me 400 or 600.

All resort I visited in Pranburi are at least 30mins drive from HH and u cant get outta there unless u stay in an exclusive hotel which provide a shuttle, maybe Evason does.
