Cherry in the city.
I got a call from Cherry asking me to meet her on Sunday to help her with her bags. Me, being the suave and debanaire gentleman that I am, said of course. She mentioned taking the train to the airport, but I tried to help her see the wisdom of taking a cab. She would have no part of it, stubborn!
Well, when I got there and tried to lift one of the suitcases, I realized that a crane would probably come in handy right about then! She, knowing it was 8 tons ahead of time, started laughing at the situation and my guaranteed future hernia.
We finally got the bags downstairs and I again reminded Cherry that a cab was a really good idea, but noooooooooooo that stubborn thing again. Now keep in mind that Cherry sprained her ankle quite good when she was in Canada, which makes her reluctance to take a cab even more amazing.
After dragging these bags two blocks, Cherry has a revelation and decides that we should take a cab, hey, why didn't I think of that?
We hail a nice sized cab and off we went to Kennedy.
We had a nice little lunch there and wondered around a bit talking. I had to get back home to take care of some things, so I bit Cherry a good ride and fair well, 'til next time that is!
It's always good to see Cherry in the city.
p.s. I will, now being abandoned by all my Thai friends here, hold down the fort in preparation for their return.
