Hot-headed supermodel Naomi Campbell was arrested at London's Heathrow Airport Thursday on charges of spitting on and punching a cop who tried to yank her off a plane. The volatile vixen, who was headed to a memorial service in California, reportedly went bonkers when flight attendants on British Airways Flight 269 informed her one of her bags was missing. Witnesses said Campbell, 37, began berating staffers, who apologized and vowed to find her bag and forward it to her in Los Angeles. Passenger Brad Gunn, 58, of London, said, "It was pretty violent. You could hear her screaming. It went on maybe 10 or 15 minutes. You could tell she was very upset." London market researcher David Rankin, 43, said, "It was so bad they had to get three cops to take her away." The officers approached Campbell in the first class section, only to get a taste of her infamous temper. "Get off me! Leave me alone!" Campbell reportedly screamed. Authorities said she spit on and took a swing at one male cop before being deemed unfit to fly and removed from the plane in handcuffs. Without naming Campbell, a British Airways spokesman confirmed that "police were called to remove a passenger from a British Airways flight this afternoon." The London-to-Los Angeles flight left more than an hour late without Campbell, who was detained at the Heathrow police station and later released on bail. Campbell's flack, Jeff Raymond, said the airline's staff overreacted by calling the cops on the fashion diva. "She arrived at Heathrow Terminal 5 in plenty of time, checked her two bags in and was told they would make the flight. Once on the plane she was told one bag could not be found and was missing," Raymond said Thursday night. "[british Airways] decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her from the flight," said Raymond. The incident comes a year after Campbell completed five days of community service at the city Sanitation Department garage in lower Manhattan for clobbering her Park Ave. housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, in the head with a BlackBerry. The former Victoria's Secret underwear model was also sentenced to take anger management classes. It was at least the third time she has landed in anger management since assaulting a personal assistant with a phone in 1998. Last month, Campbell underwent emergency abdominal surgery in Brazil to remove a "small cyst."
