Hello all,

I will be in Perth, Australia in the end of June. I am unsure if there is any Tfer who is living/studying/working there? However, I have heard that the beaches are nice in Perth & Queensland, Australia. I really want to go there sometimes, but I want to know if there are any queit beaches with crystal water like the South of Thailand including the cheap accomodation.

It would be great to be there, and know some friends there. You can also PM me for the details.

Thank you so much for this.

Have a nice day,

Hollywood:)

Yup, Perth and Queensland have some of the best beaches.....but you should remember, June is winter in Australia.

It gets rather cold....but I will send you some details about these two states.

it never gets cold in queensland cosmo. you are obviously refering to melbourne which is cold all year round :)

go north in west australia to monkey mia. you can feed dolphins on the beach in the shallow water. go north in queensland also. cairn would be fabulous in june. the crocodiles and jellyfish will be sleeping.

or you can go visit cosmo who will be hibernating in his igloo

cheers

Hey Johnno...absolutely agree...they have cold weather in the southern states...why anyone would want to live there I have no idea.... they claim that Melbourne is very "livable" whatever that might mean...

As for beaches...yes you will find beautiful beaches with white powdery sand, much finer than in Thailand (this is because of the surf and wave action). The water is crystal clear and sparklingly clean...but a bit cool in the southern areas, and I think that would include Perth as it is in the south of Western Australia.

Australia has some wonderful places to see and beautiful beaches and a very comfortable lifestyle for sure...hope you enjoy your trip. I am sure you will ja.

Yes go to Monkey Mia and play with the dolphins there...and visit Shell Beach on the way, which is so white it hurts your eyes in the mid-day sun.

Oh, and pay a visit to Margaret River in southern WA and try some of their outstanding wines...surf is good as well. 8)
