I am looking to fly back to the UK for xmas and have a good price with Qatar Air....anybody have any experience with them? Are they any good? Emirates is slightly more expensive but I know they are good but then why not give Qatar a chance.....any info?

do a google search on "skytrax." it's a website that has customer reviews of most airlines and a ratings system.

They are the best airline in the world at the moment.

I've flown Austrian, Thai, Emirates, Qatar, Swiss, BA over the past 12 months and as ever Qatar are still the best, big seats, personal entertainment that works not bad food, new planes.

Qatar seems to be good ........... another upcoming airline is Etihad with their hub in Abu Dhabi. I flew with them these year from Brussels to BKK. But they also have flights to Heathrow and Manchester. Not pricy, good service and good connections to Europe.

They are about the same standard as Emirates with newish planes, decent service and in flight entertainment.

Qatar is simply the best with Cathay Pacific

I flew with them on the business class to the UK twice , they were great, Emirate is also good

i have flown them and even eccom.couch seating is very good. i will not fly u.s. airlines outside the u.s. they do not have the same level of service.

I used them first to the UK for the value, but was so impressed I'd stick with them even if they were a little over other fight prices. As Peter said Doha is OK. Not had a delay with them before either.
