PJack 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share if an imperfection is an expectation and a perfection is a desire then how many licks does it take to get to the middle of a tootsie pop? Quote Link to comment
AAAum 5 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share PJack >>> "zero" .....no lick : P do you know why? 5555 Quote Link to comment
PeeMarc 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share to me, sometimes perfection is kind of boring. An old song i love (by Lowell George) "Love is a perfect imperfection" says a lot. Sometimes we expect things to be too perfect and we miss the surprises (serendipity) that can happen or be. I think striving for the best can be, and remaining open to change, is healthier and has less disappointment. Even nature is not perfect, but rather a series of infinite accidents Quote Link to comment
Dr_Mike 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share Hi UUUUUUM and Hi Pi PeeMarc! Now happy to be living in Thighland. It's really good to be here. I think perfection is when you accept things as they are. Quote Link to comment
PJack 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share Yes, AAA. But I thought it was 3 nothing boring about my teams work record at my company last month: perfection means a "zero" failure rate. everybody likes that, especially customers. Quote Link to comment
Dr_Mike 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share Hi Pjack ! :-) Good to see Ultraman still strikes the pose. Hopefully everything continues to go well at your company. "Always a calm before a storm". 555 Quote Link to comment
AAAum 5 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share PeeMarc>>> if it is not right today, it will become right tomorrow.... if it is not perfect just now, it will be perfect sometimes... If one is disappointed in one person, one thinks that one could find it in another person... so that is a "hope"... and if one find it... it may call "surprise" Quote Link to comment
AAAum 5 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share Amata>> Hi back! yes...agree so..."the perfection is when you accept things as they are"... that means you are fulfilled to your desire... and nice to hear you have found your perfection na ja : ) Quote Link to comment
AAAum 5 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share PJack>>> saw it... but my idea.... still no lick.... since just suck... yes, zero defect... everyone is happy... no burden cost... it can be controlled by machine... but not for life : ) Quote Link to comment
PeeMarc 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share AAAum... I would say i am happy with one person., sometimes perfect, sometimes not, sometimes surprises, even sometimes disappointed or sometimes amazed. Thats ok. Thats human nature. And That is "perfection" enough for me. ;-) Quote Link to comment
Guest jump_up Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share imperfection is standard that is why we desire perfection. We are all imperfect, only one can be perfect and that is God. Quote Link to comment
Guest jump_up Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share but my idea.... still no lick.... since just suck... <----------I thought is was bite hehe^^ but suck it good too, good too ;- ) yes, zero defect... everyone is happy... no burden cost... it can be controlled by machine... but not for life : ) <------- life would be boring Quote Link to comment
funky_house 6 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share AAAum Perfection does not exist. There is always an imperfection, no matter how small. :-) Quote Link to comment
Guest jump_up Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share AAAum Perfection does not exist. There is always an imperfection, no matter how small. :-) <---- that makes no sense. How can one exsist with the other? thats like saying there is no heaven, there is only hell no matter how small. Nice try though =D Quote Link to comment
Nave 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share All that I know..nobody is perfect, there is no such perfection nor satisfaction...whatever you have, you seem to want more in order to reach perfection but where is that horizonal line that says if you collect this much and cross this line you are perfect !! Je ne sais pas !! Quote Link to comment
funky_house 6 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share Can someone show me an example of perfection? It will have to be AAA quality, seeing as its AAAum's journal :-) Quote Link to comment
beej 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share Bloody hell its like having some Chinese wise man and his monkey on TF Quote Link to comment
OutOfOrder 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share anyone who desires to be perfect has got to be really really naive. And anyone who expects others to be perfect has got to be really really transparent. Quote Link to comment
OutOfOrder 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share .... I think it's more like a 'disorder' ... The chain of conditions to the subject is pretty long. Quote Link to comment
PeeMarc 1 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Share i have to say, i agree with out of order on both points Quote Link to comment
