Not a new topic really, Just something that came to mind. Simply stated what are some of the things you've learned thus far in life.   Oldheads, newbies and folks in between, please share.I've learned that you can't make someone else happy if you don't know how to make yourself happy.  Can you be with yourself?

I've learned that family is the single most important thing in life, because when you think about it... that's all you really got. Everything else is secondary.

I've learned that its okay to be me in all my short attentioned spanned glory. I can't sit still for ****!...

I've learned that it takes more energy to be negative rather than positive.

I've learned that this world doesn't stop simply because you are in pain.

I've learned that you can't be all things to all people.

I've learned that some folks sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others.

I've learned that love really does conquer ALL!

nah, but seriously. i just started teaching at a tough brooklyn school and want the world to stop so i can get some time, rest, regroup, and mentally prepare. however, it ain't gonna. so i gotta just stop b[ea]chin and crying and get through it as you said, "I've learned that this world doesn't stop simply because you are in pain." - right on. and true. family is all there is. break it down to biology 101 and what else is there but family?
