Well many things have been written and said about the fire at Santika, most touching(and scary at the same time) to me was the eye witness account posted here:

Something like this could happen anywhere in the world but i feel the chance of something like this happening is a bit higher in Bangkok. Then again maybe I am wrong.

This is a terrible thing to happen at any time, but on the heels of the Santika disaster, it is a terrible situation for all those involved...my condolences to all...
