It's been a long time since I posted and music journals on here. Today, I have been truely blessed to learn of some fantastic music. I have of course heard the music before, but maybe it was in a pub, restaurant, LIFT, and I never got to know the name / artist so could never find it again.Earlier today I noticed that someone on my msn list had 'Adagio for strings' as their current song. 'Adagio for strings' sounds very classical, and as she is only about 23 years old, I became curious. I looked it up on youtube and was blown away. I also learnt that it's the main music from the movie 'Platoon' back from the late 80's.A while later, our very own Prue posted her wine journal, and chose a wonderful song in the background. Andrea Bocelli singing, 'Italia'.Normally I only post one video / song in one journal, but what the hell, it's a Wednesday, so let''s have a bonus:)There are some essential instructions whilst listening to the following music:-1: Get yourself a good glass of something. Wine, scotch, whatever you like. Right now, I am slurping on...DSC_0071-640.jpg 2: Assume position...Gerard_feet%20up.jpg3: Headphones on...Volume full...close your eyes...4: Forget about everything, drift off, and relax...

Adagio for strings is an amazing piece of music.

I have found strings the hardest type of instrument to work with so many textures to weave.

Good hear something different Stu. If you like Jazz check the videos and LIVE recordings of my band here. (no faking from us it's the real deal)
