This pisses me off!

Why is it that when a game has a little "too much" violence people want to sue game companies, or make it banned? Well, I don't know why they want to do such things, but it is pure idiocy! One thing is, video games should be allowed to have violence! If they didn't there would not be much fun to them. There are many games without violence, but the biggest hits are violent ones!. Also, from what I've seen, many kids who play video games have a lot of stress from school, parents, friends, etc. Even myself! So when I blast someone's head down the trail to Kingdom come with an AK47 it just gets me hooked to the game. I don't ponder knocking on my neighbor's door with a shotgun.............YET!

One of the biggest complaints of all time: "I don't want my little children playing games like this." I got  one thing to say to people with that excuse: Do you not see the god damn T rating on the f***ing back of the damn case!?!? That directly means "not intended for children!". And if your child is playing these games and you don't want them to, you don't have to file a lawsuit! Just take the game and get rid of it! Is it that so damn hard?

Not too long ago, I saw a commercial. "Video games may cause children to have seizures. If your child has ever had a seizure during, or shortly after playing a video game, call James Sokolov to get your compensations."Man go #$%^&$#$%^#? ! this pisses me off worse!! Inside the game book there is always a warning that says "WARNING!: The quick movement or flashy animation may cause higher heart beat, bood pressure, or chance of seizure." How are you gonna sue someone if they have the freaking warning label in the book!?

Next time you want to boycott something, sit down, shut up, and think first...... Assclowns!

what are you really saying about your kid if you believe that a video game can turn him or her into a mass murderer? ffs people forget kids actually have brains (and unlike many adults, their brain still works).

I cracked a smile when I saw Jack Thompson (the famous anti-video game crusader) get debarred in Florida. The guy was a ******* crackpot. This is just another case of parents wanting the government to raise their children so that they don't have any responsibility. If parents are going to whine to the government that video games need to be banned, I think it's time to take those parents in for sterilization because they've displayed that they're obviously too stupid to be trusted to raise a kid.

Not that I'm all that against violence in games, but there has been some pretty damnning research on the subject. And even a big games company (forget which) recently did some research to see if reducing the violence in a game affected people's interest in playing it (same game but instead of gory deaths the bodies floated away peacefully) It had zero effect.

I heard of a japanese video game recently where the aim of the game is to gang rape women and then force them to have an abortion. This game has been banned in most coutries and shows the need for some form of censorship when there are people who spend their time and money designing and making these kinds of games.

There's "conflicting research"... at best. Same as other areas, proponents of "games cause violence" latch onto whatever research they can that supports their point of view while proponents of the opposite find their own supporting research. If one reads a good selection of research into the subject, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that more research into the subject is necessary.

They said the same stuff in 80's about so called video nasties turning us all in to psycho killers. In my opinion when you see fictitious acts of violence displayed in an unrealistic gory way you know it's ENTERTAIMENT. I could watch the goriest movie with out battting an eye lid but I really don't like to see people getting hurt in real life.

NZ guy I did not know about that game but any game that encourages rape of women should never have been made and the creative team behind it are the ones to blame for this one.

Yes i agree that the creative team is to blame or whoever funded it's production. I'm not a big fan of games but i do like playing grand theft auto and killing every cop or person in sight. I've been playing those sorts of games since i was a kid and never even considered re-enacting anything from the game lol.

They'll be using video games for the scape goat to bad parenting until the next big thing comes along, almost any new form of entertainment goes through the blender when it comes to people who refuse to take responsibility for themselves/their family.
