Just upgraded my white iMac from 1GB to the max of 3GB.  What a difference it makes when I use Windows on it.  It doesn't stall at all.  It was easy to install, too.  I used a YouTube video to learn about it.   .... so in how many weeks will 3GB be slow?  or is it slow already, and I just don't know it? 555

YOur fine with 3 gigs depending on what programs you run and how needy they are. I got an Imac in december and upgraded to 4 gigs and now the new ones upgrade to 8 gigs. Ya can't win that one. Seems the 4 gigs fills up fast also if you open up a lot of things. But for now its puter heaven for u !

windoze is crippled without enough ram, and im' not even talking about vista. however, if it does what you want it to on 3 gb, who cares if it's "slow"?

yeah zeus I agree I am Vista free now and have a stripped down version of xp otherwise my 5 year old beast would never be able to render my video work. As for my laptop it was sold to me with Vista which wouldn't read my Mackie soundcard even with the drivers, just wish more programs worked on linux then I wouldn't have to use microsoft for anything.

3gb? 3 gd is plenty of space if u

or downloadin alot of vids or music

i can surf the net or do whatever as well

i could use youtube or myspace or TF on my tv with the ps3

but 60 gb is just for the music and games im not using it for net surfing
