Visa Rule Change-
Doesn't effect me but this maybe of use to some people...just received update from Thaivisa:
You might have already heard rumors that Thailand has changed the VisaR ules again as of 1st June 2009. Do not panic, changes are minor and effect only people who enter with15days stamp.
Below is the summary. You can also refer to my webpage www.thaivisaservice.com
Travellers without visa will get only 15 days of stay if they arearriving via a land border checkpoint from a neighbouring country.Thai immigration Officers have received Instructions to record all ofthe foreigners personal data if this person has entered Thailand four(4) consecutive times on 15 days tourist exemption stamps.
This data will be forwarded to the Headquarter for further investigation.
Conclusion: In case you re-enter Thailand via an international airportor with a valid Visa you will ?erase? your old record. However we suggest that you apply for a Tourist Visa or Non-Immigrant Visa at a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate outside Thailand before the allowanceof four (4) consecutive entries are completed.
Travellers arriving via an international airport will still obtain a30 day stay. For travellers arriving with valid Tourist/Non Immigrant Visa therewill be no change to current procedure.Holders of valid Tourist Visa will be granted a 60 day stay, a validNon Immigrant Visa will allow a 90 day stay.
