Breast biopsy

Bit boring but it may be useful for some women. I found a lump on my right breast about 2 months ago and decided to see a doctor at my GP. She checked the lump and said it didnt seem to be a nasty lump BUT she wanted to make an appointment with a hospital for me to check it properly. 2 weeks ago I went to see a doc at a local hospital and she put a needle in my breast to get the fluid checked. That hurt a bit cos the doc tried to grab the lump and made it stay still (The doc at the GP said if its a nasty lump it would be hard and would not really move) after its done she told me that I would need a scan (ultrasound) to see the result properley I told her its fine as long as you dont put anything in it again CryOnce again this morning for a scan test..I felt ok just a bit sleepy cos I had to get up early..well..earlier than normal time i usually get up Laughing  Got to the hospital, had a scan and the doc said it seemed to be fine..not typical but not a nasty one and nothing to worry about but she couldnt really tell what it was exactly SO! I should have a biopsy! What the heck is biopsy? nah i just thought to myself then she explained what she was going to do to me..I was like ARRRGG! The doc said 'let's do it i want to know what it is too' HA! I was like...alright then..First, as same as a usual operation she gave me the anathestic then put something sharp on my breast (just a touch) and asked if I still felt anything. YES I did, so she had to gave me more anathestic (damn hurt!)This time I started to feel nothing so she started the biopsy. She made a small hole on my breast to put this tool (I dont know what its called) in to get some tissues from the lump. I could feel the thing was going on but it didnt hurt..the scariest thing was the noise that the tool made when picking the tissue..it sounded like you staple paper..and she did that for 3 times altogether. I didnt even look just closed my eyes all the time..it didnt hurt but I didnt want to see. After everything was done the lovely nurse told me that the anthestic would last like 3 hours and after that I might feel the pain and I could just take some painkillers NOT aspirin cos it might promote bleeding. I told them I hoped this was the last test i would need. The doc said if the result shows it is nothing then just forget about it. Im gonna get the result at the end of next week.At the mo, I dont feel anything yet but still counting..ive got my paracetamol ready though! Laughing Lets start checking your boobs girls, if theres something unusual happens just see a doc straight away. Have a nice day/evening all Smile
