Today I planned to go to JJ market to buy some more plants, but my friends asked me to go Sampaeng, China town. grrrrrrrrrrr... I don't like to walk there cuz it's hot and there are a lot of people, but I know my friends want me to share with them... cuz buy things from Sampaeng you must buy 3 - 6 pieces up to get wholesale price. I started my day at 9.30 am. I took subway train to Hualumphong and then took a taxi to Pahurad (Indian town) to buy fabrics and stuff to make souvenir such as ribbon, and lace.. actually, I wanted to buy Henna for my hair.. but I forgot. Then walked through Sampaeng, it's like alley.. full of people, carts, motorbike. just be careful if you wanna go in there. Some food are so delicious and very nice and fresh fruit. Sorry I didn't carry my camera there...My mission for this shopping, "Finding KID DEVIL car decorations" Not many shops sell those stuff... I had to search more than 5 shops.PhotobucketPhotobucketAfter I got them I didn't wanna buy anything else, but it's unfair for my friends so I walked with them through Sampaeng to get to the heart of China town... I walked with damn big bag and very sweat.. cuz it was so hot...then I just asked my friends to get in the aircon shopping mall in Sampaeng.. got some stationary.. cuz my friends squeezed my neck to buy them. However, I won't complain... cuz they are so cute.Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketI don't know about tomorrow after I go to visit my friend in hospital... I wanna go to JJ market to buy plants as I said before, but I heard that Central world had clearance sale, 3xx baht for a pair of Mark and Spencer...there. Interesting jing jing.

I love Sampaeng. It's a place that you can buy anything for very little money. They have morning market also. It starts from 7 am, if you want to avoid hight temperature. Fun journal, nong 1. I like it. ;)

lol p'Kirk... damn I'm not in criteria that Gov. will support. but hey I got bonus in this month... so I spent a lot for my "Wish List"

It's not expensive in Sampaeng. it's like 50% discount if you compare to the big department store or local markets.

I wanna buy some shoes but they said I had to buy a dozen up up... for flipflop 150 baht for a dozen... but just need only one pair of shoes.

A dozen shoes???!!!! For 150 baht? And other things at those same type prices? We will NEVER be making a trip there. I would have to buy 2 extra suitcases just to bring all the stuff back home. :-(

I wanna go there too! last time I went to Sampaeng/Pahurad...it's about 5 years ago... I did handmade t-shirts to sell at JJ market... Sampaeng and Pahurad are good sources for materials

Neung, I wasn't far from there yesterday afternoon . . . near Saphan Lek. Sampaeng Lane is fascinating, but getting nudged by motorcycle handlebars when I have no room to step aside is a bit scary! Glad you had a good time! :)
