Failing to respect copyright law.

I notice that some people like to copy and paste text from web pages onto forums and journals with any referencing and then claim credit for it when people respond.  Then when anyone posts the original reference, the entry is deleted by the owner of the journal, which of course you have the right to do. HOWEVER...If you look up the website and you find it has something like... ©2002-2009 Outlook Amusements, Inc. All Rights Reserved ... it is not clever to copy and paste without referencing.  At any time a Google will find you out...  "If you're not feeling reciprocal "give and take"   Foot in mouthand it may be expensive...  Money mouth Just a friendly warning.     :)

If we read TF T&C, we shall see

"Do not upload pictures, files or post messages that contain photos, software or other material protected by intellectual property/copyright laws, rights of privacy or publicity or any other applicable law unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents."

Yes, it may be expensive and not to the person to disrespect copyright law, but may be to Admin.

(I have had the same problem with a member on Zimbio.com and Admin had managed to slove the problem but after awhile that particular member posted my journals on Zimbio.com again. I contacted Zimbio like 5-6 times and seems like the person stopped for now. And you know, my journals are so crape, still don't understand why he did it. Bustard!!!!)

for any artist it is said that copying and borrowing is highest form of flattery

it is possible for an owner of materials to actually police the Internet for their materials it would be extremely time consuming and difficult but not impossible. They would probably be more concerned with usage of their materials for ,slander,or for profit, such was the case with the poor TF member she caught someone in another chat community using her pictures for their profile that's just not right. how low can you go?

I'm not sure the owner would be concerned with some average Joe copying and pasting to get their point across on a discussion board maybe i'm wrong but you never know. very good point and very good warning you are right be very careful it is unlawful and slanderous to copy without the consent of the owner of the materials it is better to post the entire link at least the article isn't out of context and the reader gets the full article intent. just my 2 cents by the way very good post.
